You are equal to male scientists. You just can't see it yet. The idea that you have to put "even us", as if it's somehow unexpected is kinda dumb in my opinion, but maybe that's just me. Don't put yourself down, and don't listen to people who tell you you're not just as good as men who are interested in science. Women are amazing at science. The only reason it's dominated by males is that the brains of males are more "compatible" with science in general, but that by no means should mean that females can't be good at it too. Hell I know females who are way better than males at science. Don't let gender get in the way of what you want to do

Truthfully I never really like the Dan's character when he was introduced during the 'Key of the Starry Heavens' Arc. He was just such a creeper, and an even bigger egotistical ass than Laxus was before his excommunication. And the way that you've hinted that Lucy's excessive thinness and paleness is due in-part to her breakup with Dan makes me dislike him even more.
As for the relationship between Lucy and Wendy I've always viewed it in one of two ways: 1) Mother/daughter or 2) older/younger sisters. Personally I think Lucy is more maternal with regards to Wendy, and enjoy when an author writes them as having a mother/daughter type of relationship bond.
