Great story, congratulations.

Really love the story. It gives Tal so much more background information then just a standard trooper. It also introduces a whole new slew of Troopers who I hope we get to meet one day.

The first sentence catches the gritty determination of Rivers and continues on throughout the chapter. Two stand outs - slumped up against Switchback and then the curiosity of the team inspecting his eye. They really are adolescents, aren't they? Nice start, looking forward to seeing where you go. It's impossible to say how much I *loved* this chapter. Simply brilliant. Rivers had me laughing most of the time, even when he was fighting for his life. His POV was a total delight, not just because of his keen observations and dry good humor, but also because of his total honesty in regards to himself, the squad and his superiors.

91st's craziest squad sounds like a total riot. Men I'd love to know more about. Tal was one of the first OCs I seriously fell in love with. His story gave me an entirely different view on the clones. Seeing him now, before meeting Tess, gives me a whole new insight into his character. He really was a different man, before losing Cooper. I cannot *wait* to see more of this story and hope we'll get to see POVs from some of the other characters as well. I'm generally very reluctant to read first-persona narration, but the way you write it, it's just too much fun to miss out on.

Rivers was a great way to introduce the squad. No better man to know his squad than the captain and Colo Squad - great way to earn your name - certainly is "uniquely loyal" to their officer.

This was just a great mix of humor, action and sadness. I can't wait for more. :D

Whew, what a ride! This was an intense story. Loved getting a peek into Tal's life pre-"Left Behind," and Captain Rivers' voice throughout was vastly entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat for the duration of their mission, and even though I had a feeling at least one of the shinies wouldn't make it, I was still distraught to see Foxtrot get eaten. And poor Tango! A one-armed sniper...sigh. That's going to be difficult. But I'm so glad he was able to stay with his squad.

Side note: *W*hisky. *T*ango. *F*oxtrot. The acronym was not lost on me. Love it! ;)

I *loved* how they reappropriated the colo as their new team name. That perspective - owning a bad experience like that rather than letting it own you - will likely be much needed as they continue to fight, and shows these boys have hella mettle.

Wonderful story! I'm excited to read more of the "Left Behind II" saga. :)

Is this the sequel to left behind? If so its awesome! But I though it would focus on cooper though

I can already tell this will be a great story! The squad is great and all of them are unique enough to promise some awesome scenes. I particularly like Tango and Cooper, especially when Tango offered his support for River with saying his own issues... Looking forward to more!

Really enjoyed this introduction to squad. The first person narrative works really well to tell this type of story.
Oh, and as I think I said already - i absolutely adore Jinx the nutty laat pilot! :D
