Reviews for Metro 2033: Liberation
Lord Macnaughton chapter 27 . 2/20
You are cucking Artyom.
PartyPat22 chapter 28 . 6/14/2019
Edit:
"It's been my secret every single say since..."
'single day since'

Well, heck, if you'll pardon my French. I did not expect any of that. Especially the mysterious stalker being anything other than my previous guess.
PartyPat22 chapter 27 . 6/1/2019
Some edits for you:

"That man's death with send a message to others like him..."
'will'

"Artyom tried to imagine what it would be like if they could still move now, he had heard about it from the older residents at Exhibition including from Sukhoi,"
'could still move now;'

"Could he even be sure that whatever the figure was that it was even alive?"
'sure that the figure, whatever it was, was even alive?'

As if that wasn't my homie, novus on that rooftop.
PartyPat22 chapter 25 . 3/22/2019
It doesn't make sense for the defenders of the old church/Snapta Base to abandon the interior because of watchmen. The building should be fully sealed to keep radiation, radioactive particles such as dust, and any bio-chemical agents out and ensure safety inside without a gasmask. They would not have been able to refurbish and fortify the place if it was not impenetrable to the mutants of the surface.

I looked into suppressed Tokarevs and it is quite interesting how they apparently work, with the suppressor being too heavy, thereby preventing the mechanism from reloading itself, and requiring the user to fire it as if it is pump-action. You mention three varieties being found in D6, but as far as I know there are only the TT-30 and TT-33. Perhaps you are thinking of the Makarov, which was made as the PM, PB, and PMM.

The Three-Line-Rifle or Mosin is erroneously referred to as a Mosin-Nagant mostly by Westerners. Nagant designed the 1895 seven-round-cylindered 7.62x38mmR revolver that the revolver in the metro games is based on.

You have a few typos here and there.

You refer to assault rifles (kalashes specifically) as machineguns a fair bit, which is inaccurate unless they are scaled up to be RPK-74s or close to it.

I think you do a great job of characterizing Artyom as he was in the original book crossed with his equivalent in the games.

Your original character is quite interesting, and her background draws the reader in as it unfolds.

I hope to see you expand on Ulman, Vladimir, and any other named characters that 4A only glossed over.

The small details you mention of soap, gasmask filters, and Baumansky technicians are pretty nifty.

You refer to the anomaly-tunnel beasts as red-fleshed lurkers and then later in the debriefing as black-furred nosalises.

The name of your original faction makes sense now that their formative goal is known, and I would say it is a pretty kool name in relation to that. Initially, it just sounds a bit random.

I like how you're exploring the small details of the story, like what Hunter's note said for example.

Why would your original character risk her life just to humiliate a gangster, especially when she had greater responsibilities to a station of people?

I'm really glad this story is updating again because I'm seriously into it, I've been of the metro series for a while and I've always loved post apocolypse stories.
Also is this going to continue into exodus or are you ending this story before that timeline?
Guest chapter 23 . 10/11/2018
I really like the story so far. Cant wait for an update.
Guest chapter 23 . 11/17/2017
Back at it again! Can't wait for the rest of it.
Guest chapter 1 . 8/31/2015
feels like it was just taken off after last light
BobBQ chapter 22 . 8/9/2015
It's back! Aleks sure knows how to make a first impression.

Couple of spelling quibbles: Aleks's patronym should be Adrianovna (Adrianova would be a surname) and Hunter's family name is generally transliterated as Zaytsev.
BobBQ chapter 21 . 7/4/2015
In the Metro, the VSS is definitely an elite weapon. Weapons like the SVD and SKS should be more common, however, and it's odd they don't appear in the games at all.

Now I wonder what mischief Ulman would get up to if he had free choice of targets. Light bulbs? Cigarettes? Innocent unsuspecting cups of tea?
Guest chapter 21 . 7/2/2015
took me a bit to finally catch up but I definitely like it
BobBQ chapter 20 . 6/26/2015
I like the cut of Katya's jib.

The Metro map indicates Marksistskaya is Hansa territory, but I suppose that doesn't count for much when it has bandits and tunnel hazards on one side and plague outbreaks on the other.
BobBQ chapter 19 . 6/22/2015
Jealousy confirmed. I do hope Artyom remembers to wear earplugs for the testing.
BobBQ chapter 18 . 6/17/2015
Oh my. I do believe Artyom is feeling a bit jealous. Feels like something else is going on as well: I half expected to see Lesnitskiy lurking about.

The Russians are great hoarders of anything that's old but useable. They've kept stockpiles of weapons and equipment dating right back to the tsarist era, never mind WWII.
ElegantValkyrie chapter 17 . 6/5/2015
That was hilarious! I always die laughing every time (is it Vladimir?) he grabs the microphone from him and says, "Ulman stop screwing around!" Hahaha! XD
