Okay, so I perfectly understand reevaluating old pieces and not liking them. Old work does often tend to feel cringeworthy. I understand moving to a new account, but if you do create an entirely new account, could you at least tell us where it is? I'm still a fan of your writing, so I would still like to read your work.

I know you don't really like your writing, but I really like this story and was wondering if you could leave it even if you decide to delete the rest of your work. I want to be able to read this again, even if it remains unfinished.

Ending or Continuing?

Ending it here would be good. You just had the huge climax with Alfred's father and Arthur's job. But, you let the readers know that Arthur hadn't, in any way, left Alfred to fend for himself in the world. Alfred finally tells Arthur what is on his mind and realizes the lesson of the story. This way, the readers know that Alfred is recovering psychologically, and Arthur will be there for him no matter what.

Ending it here gives the nice feeling of an happy ending, even though we all know that Alfred and Arthur will be handed more "Checkmates" in time.

However, continuing for another chapter or two would give a better insight on the recovery part of psychology. You seem to like the subject, and you know a lot about it. You have gone over the grief that Alfred is fighting, it could be a nice change to see the recovery.

I really loved this story, and it will always be on my favorite list, weather you continue it or not. I have had people try to tell me what to do with my stories and it is very annoying, so I am in no way telling you what to do, but I hope that my advice helps you decide.

This chapter really played with my feelings. At the beginning I felt my heart stopping when he searched for Arthur and Arthur wasn't there. My heart nearly melted with relief when Arthur popped up later. It's a great feeling when you can instantly connect with a story again, even if you haven't read it for a while. This is why I am a sucha huge fan of your stories. I can't wait RO the next update!

Oh, my feels :') I don't even have anything to say for this chapter except that this is lovely and I adore this story and I want to see them happy :') You could end it here or you could have a couple of more chapters - I think either way works. I look forward to an update :D
