You know, if I was in a secret relationship I would definitely not put it in my diary! Hellouuu!

I laughed way too hard at "canoodling." Lmao!
K-the-Queen-of-Typos chapter 5 . 8/7/2018
Ikki is a snitch and I personally believe she deserves to get dragged for blabbing not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! I’ve kept my siblings secrets to the point of being punished for not selling them out and she’s just a 50 vending machine that sells information. I’m a very peaceable person but at that point I wouldn’t apologize because I didn’t ruin anyone’s life or rat them out.
Kai01 chapter 27 . 3/29/2018
I see you haven't been active for a long time, but I wanted to let you know, if you ever see this, you're an amazing writer!
Lady June chapter 27 . 4/16/2017
Hello there ! Just a few words to say it was really nice to read your work, I had a lovely time.
It's well written all around. I got to read the two prequels as well, and well, not much else to say other that "great job" :)
Question though : do you plan on making a prequel on how Jinora and Kai became a couple ? I am really curious about that, and haven't seem such a fic in your profile
I'd love a PM to know about it, you'll be sure to have me as a reader again :)
ps : really liked the drawing of Kai on tumblr with the tatoos and all ;)
Guest chapter 27 . 2/7/2017
Thank you.
Guest chapter 27 . 10/14/2016
I love this story, and even though it's finished and I'm not sure if you'll see it I just have to say it. I love how well you worded this and how you brought in...life.
Love, a fellow fan of Korra's story
AvatarAang7 chapter 26 . 9/12/2016
Right, after telling myself many times that I would read this story again, I finally have. I always find that there is some merit to the idea of reading a story for the second time when it's done. Allows one to see things clearly, to take a step back, and look at it objectively.

Fortunately, nearly all of my earlier thoughts on this story still stand. Let's get the bad things over with quickly that I didn't really notice on the first pass, starting with the grammar. I know it's petty, but there are a couple of them, mostly 'your' and 'you're' switched around here and there, small things like that. Like I said, petty, but I do think it's worth mentioning.

Anyway, on to the real issue that stuck out to me: Kai's mom. That story arc was rubbing me the wrong way all along, and now, on this round, it hit me why: Kai doesn't ask the right questions. I get that he would be excited, but when the two people in the world he trusts the most are both telling him to ask the most important question, he doesn't. It's a very simple one: why now? This one really gets to me, because it goes against his character. He is smarter than that, and if nothing else, his time in fostercare should have made him more distrustful towards people. The reason that this one bothers me so much is because the rest of the story suggests that he's actually pretty good at reading people, so why, when both Jinora and Mako are telling him to take a step back and judge the situation objectively, doesn't he listen?

That is by far my biggest issue on the second read. I know I was quite harsh on you with the whole pseudo-engagement thing, but it doesn't come up too much after the fact. That's probably for the best, as I'm still not a fan of it, but it's not as much of an elephant in the room as I recall it to be. In a story that's already pretty sappy (which works in its favor), that is the one where I just say 'nope, this is too much'.

Still, I've put this on my list of favorite stories, and I definitely stand by that. I take pride in keeping that list short, because if there are 1000 stories on there, then it wouldn't be anything special for you anymore. Hope that makes sense. I like the family dynamics ("She could be pregnant and I'd still be getting blamed!" love that chapter), I like how Kai fits in eventually, I like most of these characters (you even had me kind of rooting for Makorra, which is absolutely unheard of XD), but most of all, I like the relationship between Kai and Jinora. They are adorable together, because like I said, the sappyness is kind of what makes this story so enjoyable. Outside of that, what I like most of all is that you write this story so well with how life happens to them, and that they face the problems life brings with it together, as anyone in a good relationship should. I've always considered it to be a given that people in a relationship should be stronger off together then they are alone, and Kai and Jinora definitely are.

In conclusion... This story is still very high up on my favorites list of modern AU's and fanfics in general. I like the characters and I like most of the plot developments. The fact that I still feel that way after a second pass is definitely a good sign, and it does bring me to my last point: a sequel. I would be very excited to read that, get a better glimpse (perhaps when Jinora gets pregnant or when they get married or something? *nudgenudge 'Into the Light' as a title hinthint*) into their life after college. I hope you'll write it, because if you do, I'll definitely be there to read it. Good night, and good luck.

Fanfic Lover chapter 27 . 7/29/2016
Oh. My. Goodness!

Seeing this fanfic finished makes me so sad because it was JUST. THAT. GOOD. The Epliogue does give me closure, but I'll have to learn to stop checking on the story everyday to see if you updated it! It was so beautifully written and I just LOVED it! There was romance, humor and a beautiful drama that goes along how things work out in real life. They are all grown up and I've been with you from the beginning when I was looking for Kainora fics to help with my mini depression after LOK ended. This was more than you may know to me seeing you evolve gracefully and this far as a writer brings joy to my heart! I hope you can become a published author!

Never stop writing!
Fanfic Lover

P.S: Please update The Weekend fanfic for Sunday, I need it! ;)
SilentCreScriptor chapter 27 . 7/25/2016
This chapter has been out for a while and I took so much time to finally get to it but now that I have It' just so crazy to think this fic is over. I've been following it since its first chapter and it really is amazing to see how far it's come as well as you as a writer . I'm a huge fan . I would get so excited at the prospect of a new update and never be disappointed when I finally got a chance to read it!

Thank you for writing such a brilliant story . Your take on this couple is so well done I look forward to anything else you write .
Canada Cowboy chapter 27 . 7/18/2016
I've been a reader and follower of this fic since you first started, but it's only now that I'm giving my review. Let's just say I'm really blown away by what you did, and this fic will go down in my memory as one of the best. Even though I wrote a "slice of life" fic myself (using the original series instead of the Korra series), I think you did this in a different way that really warrants learning from.

First off, the design of this fic is something I really enjoyed. Instead of having one overarching theme, you seem to have broken them off into arcs. Whether it's with the sibling rivalry between Jinora and Ikki, the spat between Kai and Jinora, Korra's pregnancy, and even the final one with Kai's mother, you manage to hit certain things that really illustrate life for what it is. There are ups and downs to life, and no one can approach it alone and with one speed. People need social interaction with each other in order to get through life, and in the process they may find that their views of the world can change along the way (ex: Tenzin and Kai). And for me, I feel the way you did this fic really wrapped this theme up well.

Next, I like that, despite the arcs, you still manage to tie some themes together. For example, we see Jinora as the role model for everyone, kind of like her canon role as "Master Jinora" of the Air Nomads. But Jinora has her own problems, in that she will overexert herself and, when she gets very stressed out, suffer panic attacks. Kai is her stabilizing force, but he has his own issues too, such as the avoidance and evasion from his conflicts. The fact that they are both selfless and will help the other through the issues, all the while working through how their flaws can affect each other, really matches well with what goes on here. It's an amazing tidbit that I'm very glad you have addressed.

I'm also happy to see how some of the supporting characters have their own problems, but their ways of handling them also affect how Kai and Jinora do. We know Tenzin has a pride issue, but that reflects on Jinora (his perfect prodigy) and Kai (the prejudice). Ikki has a slight superiority complex in that she is always being compared to Jinora (hence the rivalry), but the fact is that she also wants to be accepted (something Tenzin somewhat neglected). I wish we could have gotten to the other characters, like Korra, Mako, Bolin, and Asami, but I understand the fic's length may affect that. But for all these to be addressed, I feel it gives this fic that extra level to be enjoyable.

My only concern seems to be that your story has many spelling, grammar, and sentencing errors that should be corrected. I hope I'm not being too argumentative with you, but each chapter I notice at least 2 or 3 errors relating to these things. I'm not going to point out each and every single one to you, but I just want you to be aware of this. That way, when you do your future fics (or the sequel to this one, if you choose to pursue it), you can correct them. My only suggestion is proofread extra carefully or ask a beta reader to help, but other than that it's just due diligence.

Once again, I congratulate you on writing such a great fic. Like I said before, it will go down in my memory as one of the best. If you do write a sequel, I do hope to drop by to read it. I notice you have some side fics related to this fic (ex: "The Weekend") that are not yet complete, so I hope to see you finish those as well. Best of luck and keep writing.

OMG I love this story so much and think the plot is amazing and well written!
wintertiger27 chapter 27 . 7/11/2016
I love all of your stories they are so amazing! I was reading the other reviews, and everyone has the same opinion. The stories you write are amazing. One of the reviews I saw, talked about a Kainora Sports AU. And I decided to draw a quick sketch of Kai. I like the way it turned out, I mean at least for a sketch... anyway just wanted to share some more Kainora! If you want to see it, it's on DeviantArt. Look up wintertiger27, and you should see it called basketball kai. :) You are so much more talented than I am at drawing too. Basically, I love all the artwork you create. Keep writing, Thank You! Kainora Forever!
Guest chapter 27 . 7/9/2016
Loooooooooooooooooooove the story, I think I need more space to express it. But we'll done love the ending. And out of all the ships in the avatar universe, Kainora is the best. They are the cutest, most innocent, and genuine couple sadly they didn't get enough screen time. I want to congratulate you for writing such an amazing Kainora story. Could you finish the weekend? Thank you though so so much for the story. I love your writings here. Keep writing these amazing stories, (kainora plz, #no_bias).
