Guest chapter 5 . 5/16/2015 Im sooo happy you wrote this! Im a big tzekel kan fan! Awesome plot and oc! |
CatOrWall chapter 5 . 12/7/2014 It was difficult getting my perspective turned around. Miguel and Tulio were always the good guys... but of course, they -are- actually thieves trying to steal a massive amount of gold from the city. And they are taking advantage of the entire populous with their god-charade. So... Tzekel real was a good guy? The whole time? Sorta. Right... I guess they got what was coming to them, really. And she'll be more than capable of taking care of the Spanish army. So how she got there is never explained... so I'm going with my theory. Also, The Good, the Bad, and the Blood would have been an awesome title. Just saying. |
CatOrWall chapter 4 . 12/7/2014 Yup, she's definitely more of a traditional Aztec goddess. Which means that to her, Tzekel Kan would actually be a good servant, rather than the crazy murderous fiend he was in the movie. And if he's right, that means that El Dorado, while quite happy-looking from the outside, is indeed filled with lies and darkness. |
CatOrWall chapter 3 . 12/7/2014 I don't think she likes the boys much. She'll probably like Miguel better; he's the more honest of the two. If it's possible to have a slightly-more-honest conman. Still can't believe that she seems to like Tzekel. Dude's a total jerk. But I guess Scarlet is as bloodthirsty as he is. |
CatOrWall chapter 2 . 12/7/2014 So, what's up with that creeper, Tzekel Kan? He's got crazy ghost mojo. Is she sensing the evil in him, or what? And I wonder what she's going to think of Miguel and Tulio as time goes on. XD So, I'm just gonna guess what happened to Scarlet, just for funzies. The actual jaguar goddess needed a vessel so that she could intervene in the events about to unfold, and Scarlet (for whatever reason) was the best match. Perhaps the tattoos made it easier to use her. So the goddess called her back to the proper time. Now, I'm probably totally wrong, but I think that would be pretty cool. |
CatOrWall chapter 1 . 12/7/2014 Hmmm... well, a couple of your plot devices are unrealistic. If the storm was going to be that bad, the voyage would probably have been cancelled, and stepmommy dearest can't whine her way out of that. Plus, the idea that the stepmother is actually a murderous psychopath is a bit random. But that's not necessarily a barrier to having a good story, it just means your set-up is a little clunky. It's pretty obvious from the get-go that the jaguar spots are important. And apparently they've given her god-powers as well? (shrug) |
SamanthaJane13 chapter 5 . 10/29/2014 Loooooooovvvveeeee it |
Musical cake chapter 5 . 10/3/2014 That was a nice ending. I can't wait to read the next one! I think I've finally decided that I like Tzekel Kan. |
Karkatsbabe chapter 5 . 10/2/2014 Interesting ending! I wish you would write an epilogue for this, as I want to know if they had children or would just take care of random children, or if they fought the conquistadors. |
