I liked this! It always bugged me that in the show Donnie says "We will talk about THAT later", but then it never shows them talking about it. You covered that gap well.

Aww, I just wanted to hug Mikey when Donatello was disciplining him! But I understand Donnie's frustration, he doesn't want Mikey to get seriously hurt. This was a nice read, very believable in the characters.

So I just watched the Rat King ( Of Mice and Rats? I think that's what it's called) episode in which ICK appears, and there is a scene where Donnie looks at ICK then at Mikey and says "We're gonna talk about this later" :O
I never realized he said that, and all i could think about was this magnificent fic. It just made it so much better, because it fits so perfectly. This is definitely one of my favorite stories I like to re-read over and over again when I'm bored, you just capture Donnie and Mikey so well...I do hope you write more fics like this.

While I understand Donnie's fears and I get where he's coming from, I don't think he should have gone off on Mikey like that. Still, this was a very nice story about brotherly love.

This is wonderfully well done. You carefully observed certain scenarios and imagined what don (and even Mikey) might feel like and woven them into a story

Great job! I think that was really necessary there aren't enough moments like this

I did notice that Mikey and Donnie's 'talk' was cut out and I was kinda sad about that, but I'm satisfied again now thanks to this. It was a lot deeper and more emotional than I expected and I liked how you linked it in with the shellacne and the Pulverizer and all of that - it was just great! I think you portrayed the characters very accurately while still pulling your own twists on them and I give you kudos for that as it is a hard thing to do ;)
We don't get enough Mikey/Donnie brotherliness around here and I'm glad you decided to write this 'cos it made my view of both their characters just that bit clearer :)

You know what? I did want to see that conversation, since Donnie was all "We'll talk about this LATER!" as if he were Mikey's dad all of a sudden, and this is just about perfect. Just great brother-dynamics, and both of them seem spot-on. I loved them talking about the shellacne thing, too, because I really find it totally plausible that Donnie would exaggerate the consequences (bad enough as they were) to make an impression.
