I liked this.
Harry Albus Potter Dumbledore chapter 1 . 10/3/2014
That was very emotional, heartbreaking, and sweet all mixture together to make a lovely and wonderful story. Thank you for sharing.
Magenta-Skye chapter 1 . 9/25/2014
Touching story! Love how the stories are pouring out of you and many others, such wonderful fics! :) Love on how Gilligan touched everyone's life and in a way touched him, too.
Waldengarver chapter 1 . 9/3/2014
This was beautifully wonderful.
Sherlock's 2nd Blogger chapter 1 . 8/30/2014
That. Was. Awesome. That was truly great, brilliant job as per usual!
I'm being just slightly nit-picky here but at the end you said "reassuring him that they were angry with him and didn't blame them"... seems a bit of a contradiction don't ya think? ;)
Aspielady chapter 1 . 8/30/2014
Wonderful story! I love it when Gilligan gets to hear how the others really feel about him. I think it would have been awesome if there had been an episode like that. I guess in a way there was. When the missile took off with him inside, he heard what they were saying before he let them know he was ok.
Message to Teobi: That part about Rocket Man, I firmly believe it was not a coincidence that is was playing when you walked in the bar.
Womenreligiousfan chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
aww!
ceschwartz chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
"You did more than save his life that day. Gilligan, God doesn't make mistakes. You were sent to rescue him from himself and in that regard you were successful."

This is such an amazing story. The thoughts and actions of each of the castaways really press heavily on the heart. My breath hitched just reading it. Gilligan means so much to his island family, and he firmly hears and sees it with the help of his guardian angel. The shipwreck was no accident, but divine intervention. I love it. That statement is rooted in reality too, and can be said of the show itself! The irony is that Gilligan is forever blamed for repeatedly fouling up their rescues, but he is really the RESCUER in the lives of these six people as Teobi points out in her review.

This moment is perfect. You wrote it so beautifully, as usual. The soul's longing to love and be loved, to belong and have worth is all summed up so well in this little scene. Gilligan's fear and uncertainty are dispersed like a mist by the radiance of the sun, and he chooses the island, with the promise that all will work out as it should.
K9grmingTwihard chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
This was an absolutely wonderful story. I almost cried. They all need Gilligan he is the heart and soul of the group. Being marooned on the island made everyone's lives better. Great job!
LunaGirl180 chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
*Applauds * Well done indeed, I have got to say this may be my new fave story of yours. You did everything perfectly, how the angel told Gilligan about the others was amazing, ( I loved Gilligan's reaction to finding out about Mary Ann's engagement, lol) and how Gilligan helped each and everyone of them. I Thank you so much for this!:)
ChocolateChipCookie32 chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
The Angel is absolutely right! They all need and love Gilligan no matter what he thinks. Another lovely story from you :)
BaronessvonTrapp chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
This is wonderful. It almost brought tears to my eyes. They all really love Giligan even though he annoys them to no end. It was a lot like the show.
Clouddy chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
:) Now he knows how much he's touched everyone's lives.
And geez Gilly, forget Hawaii and Kansas. You both live on that island, so quit making excuses. ;P

:( Poor Howells. It's so sad when couples who truly want children aren't able to have them for whatever reason.
Teobi chapter 1 . 8/29/2014
Wow. 'Go to Heaven'? I'm not even out of the summary yet and I'm worried!

A woman more beautiful than Ginger can only be an angel. And does Gilligan need an angel right now! The thought of Kinkaid losing his temper and smashing Gilligan over the head with the butt of his gun made my stomach churn. The poor guy gets blamed enough by his friends without being beaten on by his enemies as well! And yes, I did load that observation with enough irony to sink a ship.

To think that the shipwreck was Gilligan's destiny all along. The angel tells him that he was meant to be a part of these six people's lives- to save, to nurture, to help, to heal, to fill the holes in an empty heart.

To RESCUE.

Gilligan needs to see and hear what's happening without the others knowing. I fully, fully believe that just before a soul ascends to Heaven, or the Spirit World or whatever nirvana you believe in, it sticks around for a little while just to say its own goodbyes. For instance, while my stepfather was battling cancer, I posted Elton John's Rocket Man onto my facebook page and dedicated it to 'the bravest man I know.' He died not long after. On the evening of his funeral, after the service was over, a group of family members and friends were driving home when they thought "f- it, let's have a drink." They got out of their cars, walked into a bar, and what was playing on the jukebox? Rocket Man.

Out of all the songs in all the world. Right as they happened to walk in.

Awww! Ginger's writing The Gilligan Story! Stop it before I start crying. Whoops, too late.

Loved also the reference to Herbert Rucker and Cindy from the first TV movie. Even if one doesn't count the movies as canon, it's fun to try and tie it in somewhat, just for continuity's sake.

"It's time to stop fighting it, William. The two of you are soulmates."

asdsfhflsjfhgkhgg! GOD AND THE ANGELS SHIP MAG!

And what a great reason for the Professor to put the bowl of dye next to the identical bowl of crab meat or porridge, or whatever Gilligan was eating. Because Proffy didn't want Gilligan to return to the Navy and possibly into a war!

Once again, you've stirred up so many feelings and emotions with this beautiful tale. Everyone loves angels. Everyone wants to have someone to look over them. We don't want to die alone or for death to be final. We are such complex, living, self aware creatures that we can't possibly become worm food and nothing more after we've kicked the bucket.

Nope, I firmly 100% believe in the spirit carrying on. After the Rocket Man incident, and then this other time soon after his death when I was logging in to ffnet and the Captcha code was JOHN. (That was his name.) His spirit knew how much time I spend on this blasted site and that was a great way to get my attention!

You always hit the nail on the head! Thank you for yet another wonderful story
