Reviews for Gone
StillMaria chapter 1 . 8/25/2017
Wow I def. had a picture like this in my head. Perhaps with less colors, but yes, this was it. I loved your little story. This is soo Zoe. And this is sooo the way she saw John. I suppose deep down she won't call that number cos then she'll know for certain what she already knows: he's gone. But up until she calls, she can still pretend she believes he's ok. This is so awesome, thank you for writing it!

Nice - I love the economical use of their history. You have a way with words.

Ah, a Zoe centric fic...just aren't enough of those! _
Thanks for sharing this well done introspective story.

I liked this very much. The tone was just like their relationship. She's a friend but her life will progress even if John is not in it. But she is concerned about him. Very nice.

this is evocative and deftly written.
JinkyO chapter 1 . 8/23/2014
This is nice! This story really popped for me when she decided *not* to call. Zoe may not know exactly what it is Reese does but she *knows* this shadowy world he works in. Not calling was true to character and I appreciated that acknowledgement through your writing. Thank you for sharing!

I liked your story. Good insight into Zoe's mind for this dark period. This, to me, was John and Zoe.
Wuchel1 chapter 1 . 8/21/2014
This is a wonderful and very well-written story. I think you've captured the relationship between John and Zoe beautifully - giving us believable and welcome details that the show didn't.

Thank you for sharing. I'm so happy that you have found your way into the POI fandom, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you for remembering Zoe, and giving us her perspective both of John and of the situation at the end of season three.

It feels like you really caught the ebb and flow of their relationship, and of all the rationalizations she would try to make when she realized that John was gone. All the little insights seem just right, and I especially like Zoe's self-awareness that John's dangerous side is part of his appeal.

And what a powerful image at the end: "...a handsome man in an impeccable custom-made suit carrying his inhuman load of dark, deadly secrets like a modern day Atlas." That gave me chills.

Thank you for sharing this.
