Beautiful writing and I loved Arthur's reaction in Merlins dream! Though I doubt Merlin would have quit even if it meant dying to save Arthur and everyone in some sort of battle (?) just seems a bit out of character for him after proving how willing he is to give his life for his cause

This is scarily good, but heart crushing. I don't know whether to wish for more or to run for the hills if you write more.

OMG, that was brilliant! Literally. Sometimes one wonders if Merlin's selflessness is truly limitless and is he willing to sacrifice *everything* in destiny's name? This little snippet asked, and answered, that truly difficult question. And I liked the answer as well. Well done.
