Wow...another great story! It has such great description, and the atmosphere, and the mood, and the way the story flows...not to even begin on the actual story itself. Interesting take on the thing about Dark Matter as well; it's hard to get me to read a story even remotely pertaining to Zero but you pulled it off. All in all, great job! This story deserves more credit than it's given, honestly.

I don't think you could have handled the flashback scene and how it meshed together with the story any more perfectly, or handled the emotions felt during the story with any more grace and perfection than you did.
