I like the chapter

Awful chapter after such a wait. This scene really did not deserve a whole chapter. Hate how much of a nervous and eager beaver he was in this chapter, talk about annoying. After the change in thinking in previous chapters, you'd think he'd look at his relationships differently but no, he's still an idiot when it comes to Cho Chang.

Very nice beginning. And nice delivery of the rant-at-Ron that so many of us would like to give him.

Really interesting story so far. Looking forward to reading more!

Just have Umbitch completely make an arse of herself at every turn, in a way she can do nothing about it. Like one of them playing Dark wizard or witch in her class proving she is teaching nothing. Pranking her to death would be fun too.

I have been reading Ron bashing stories for a while, but when did he say in canon that he hated Slytherins? In all Harry/Slytherin stories that seems to be Ron's behaviour as if it was canon. I just want to know if it is a fanon or a canon thing. If I'm not mistaken Ronald had every reason to hate Slytherins given how he and his entire family was called blood traitors. It just makes me grit my teeth.

Hermione is very harsh here. I am by no means a Ron fan, but the Hermione is a great friend and Ron is an ass has gotten extremely old, especially when Hermione stays a saint.

Another thing that stuck out to me was Ron going for his wand. That happens a lot in ff too. I remember him doing that once, but I can't remember the other times. It has been a while since I read canon.

I like Harry taking up the leadership mantle. And I like the addition of slytherin girls. Can you make this a Harry/Astoria pairing. There are too few of those and too many harmony. Please? I can pretty much grit my teeth through saint Hermione if this is not a harmony.

Hermione is right; Harry could be much better if he tried. His choice of the 'easy' sybjects is one of the examples. Care of the Magical Creatures can be useful, even with Hagrid's substandart teaching, but Divination is a waste of time.
I also liked Harry, Hermione and Daphne brainstorming how to avoid the Defence group being found out.
