Cute story. Poor Hikaru though, if there was no Kuon, Hikaru and Kyoko would be such a cute match. I love that guy he needs a love Interest written in.

Ah yes... Hikaru is certainly a very sweet guy. I really do prefer him as a good friend for Kyoko. I feel he lacks a certain sturdiness that Kyoko would need, just not enough backbone/determination. I'm not quite sure if I'm getting my point across right or using the right wording. His personality just lacks something for a relationship with Kyoko. I could probably see him with someone like Momose or Oohara, same as Kijima. And the sooner our dear, sweet Hikaru realizes that Kyoko's heart is taken and her love reciprocated the better, as he will have more time to get over her and move on to someone romantically better for him.

Awwwww. *hugglez Hikaru* Poor guy never had a chance, and I actually never once felt sorry for that until now. I still can't support his love, die-hard Ren/Kyoko fan that I am, but I liked this story. And who's to say the manga authors won't randomly slip in a girlfriend for him before the end? xD

Lovely story you have here! I love so many aspects of it, most of all being that it felt /real/. Hmm, I'm not sure how to explain what I mean by that, but I'll try... I like the set-up, the different perspectives, and the added bonus of the multiple settings. The multiple settings were probably the clincher for me; I'm used to stories sort of skipping over what happens in between those big plot points. But you included school (however briefly), sets, multiple rooms in Darumaya, and more than one studio. It all gave a feel of multiple layers and well-thought-out plot. I love that!

That being said, I do have one minor complaint. With Kyoko's obsession with the fairies - I don't think she's ever assumed that anyone else can see them, can she? I mean, some people can sense or even occasionally see her grudges, but no one has been able to see fairies in a park or anything. I'm not even sure Kyoko would mention them as if she expected him to see them.

Well, like I said, very minor complaint. xD; Otherwise, I really enjoyed this piece, even though the one-sided love tried to claw at my heart. xD; Thank you for the lovely story! *bows* And now... I shall go reread the first phone-call with Ren just for my inner fangirl's satisfaction. xDD

But i most especially love how heart-wrenching a rejected confession feels!
I've never actually matured from idle unrequited crushes but i've read a lot of shoujo mangas and welp, they had a lot of brokenheartedness in the plot simply because only one is chosen over the millions of people in the world!
Again... Not a sadist, not a masochist... I just happen to like the feeling which i have had only felt whilst reading fictional plots...

So absolutely cute! Seriously well done Hikaru flufff! I do love my bittersweet romances as well, and there was plenty of minor comedy to keep the humor from the challenge.

This was really well done. I'd love to see/do a followup on when Ren sees this particular commercial, but this is a one-shot challenge, rather than a two-shot challenge. :) (Just so you know I struggled with not making Dimplomatist into a two-shot as well)
