Such a bittersweet ending but it perfectly matched the rest of the story.

I loved it, it had all my favorite elements, time travel, Sam whumpage, and remorseful Dean.
It's so hard to find a good time traveling fic and yours was so well written

I don't know what just happened because I am so overwhelmed right now. I love your time travel fics and I can't get enough of them. This is just so beautifully written and the way you wrote Sam and Deans relationship is so accurate and heartbreaking.

Goddamnit.

It's come to be a repeating cycle. I open one of your fanfictions with great enthusiasm, am completely confused at the first part, get some semblance of understanding in the following part, then have this permanent sinking feeling in my chest-area at the last line because you nEVER HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS.

Not that that's actually a bad thing. I actually prefer not to have a happy ending; it's more removed and definitely always more realistic, in my view. But goddamn, it's terrifying how I'll fall for your ending one-liners as if I haven't read any of your other stories before.

I've been looking for a lot of stories like this, and have found quite a few good ones, but none that have Gabriel and time travel and your writing. This is exactly what I wanted after The End, because I felt that the writers just kind of left it ... there. But they've never addressed this point, that Sam is suicidal/would-definitely-be-in-canon-especially-with-Lucifer. Yeah, they mentioned it, but it was pretty offhand - and isn't everything, until the offhand thought becomes an offhand action and all of a sudden you've got a dead body?

I digress. The point I'm trying to get across is that I've adored this idea ever since I saw a glimpse of it in a fanfic rec page on LiveJournal, and you expanding on this just makes it 10 times better. Your writing is just plain astonishing, and I just want to tell you that all 72 of your works with all of the reviews for those works are what shows that, and hopefully I can help out just a little with a bit of appreciation in one or two reviews.

So basically, great job, love it (as usual), and will definitely read again sometime.

And once again, thanks so much for breaking my heart. I always manage to forget how messed up things were between Sam and Dean, until I read fics like these. I love your time-travel stories, I love it when they find out the future and it changed everything. I'm so glad you wrote this and you go ahead and keep writing time-travel supernatural fics.

Ugh. Hit me square in the feels, because you nailed it. Totally freaking nailed it. Dean only jumps in with these empty platitudes when he's desperate, but he never actually follows through with anything of actual substance. And Sam knows this which is all kinds of gut wrenching. Yeah, my heart hurts reading this which means you did an awesome job. I loved it in that heart breaky way. xo

Yeah, it WOULD take the Trickster showing Dean all of that before Dean got it through his head that Sam didn't believe in their brotherly bond anymore. Lucifer won't leave Sam alone, and Dean is too willing to do just that. Talk about anger issues! It's so sad that Sam still didn't believe Dean, even after Dean told him they were in it together until the end. :( Sam just doesn't believe he'll make it through anymore. There's a big part of him that doesn't really want to, not after all that has happened, including losing Dean's trust. I think Sam has one foot in the grave already, and Dean can't really do much about that anymore.

Nice story! Your writing is awesome and everybody's in character (at least in my opinion). This isn't the first story I've seen with suicidal Sam but it's the first I've seen with the Trickster - awesome plot idea. (And the nod to the fact that he's Gabriel - "Brothers destroy each other all the time" - was very well done!
