I love this. I wish they hadnt killed off Maeve. She was such an interesting character. Thank you for bringing her to life. I noticed you havent updated in a while and that makes me sad. I hope you find inspiration again and return to this story. I would love to read more of it. Keep up the good work.

Annber03 chapter 12 . 5/5/2016
Niiiiiiiiiiiice :D. I'm very much okay with this happening after that St. Paul case, rather than what DID happen on the show. I got a kick out of the fact that they had a little makeout session both in the theater and in the car,-I LOVE the thought of them having these spontaneous, romantic moments! LOL at Maeve bumping the car horn, too :p. Reid and Maeve both being a little surprised by Reid's spontaneous movie suggestion made me giggle, too.

And great touch bringing in Reid's interest in Korean films and doing that "whisper translation" thing to Maeve. Yeah, can't say I blame Maeve for her reaction to Reid whispering in her ear as he did (honestly, I'll never understand how JJ turned that offer down on the show :p). I loved the comparison you made between him whispering to her in the theater and the tines when she heard his voice during their phone calls. Another reminder of the wonderful changes in their relationship.

I also really loved Rossi being the one to have a little heart-to-heart with Reid about his relationship with Maeve. I've always loved the bond between those two on the show, and the little talks they've shared over the years, and this was a perfect example of that. So sweet of Rossi to express concern and want to help Reid sort out this problem-I liked him bringing in his own experience with his marriages (especially to Carolyn, his own true love) as an example of what NOT to do. "I have all this time, and all this money, and no one to share it with." That's an excellent, and poignant point.

He's absolutely right, too. Look at all the time and effort Reid put into the early days of his relationship with Maeve, when they connected only through letters and phone calls, and look at how hard he fought to save her life. I can see where it might be easy to lose some of that fight now that he and Maeve are together in this way, but she is indeed very special to him, and she gets him in ways nobody else does, and they have a really sweet, special, lovely connection.

And they're still in the new phase of being together in person, too! There's still SO much they have yet to experience as a couple, so many new things to learn about each other. So I'm glad that Reid got that reminder to treasure what he had with Maeve, and that he took the advice to heart, and is going to do his part to keep their relationship strong. And Maeve can do the same on her end, too, when possible. Reid looking at that book and reviewing the Thomas Merton quote was sweet-a lovely way to ground him and remind him of what he's got with Maeve :).

I certainly don't blame Reid for being so stressed out and determined with his workload, though. I suspect some of the reason he's especially determined to catch the Replicator is because of the stalking aspect-sure, right now, the guy's targeting the team alone, but given the "zugzwang" reference and the fact that he does have some knowledge of Reid and Maeve's relationship, I wouldn't blame Reid for getting spooked and not wanting a repeat of everything with Diane. The brief thought that the Replicator might've somehow gotten a hold of his and Maeve's letters was chilling...but thankfully, that doesn't look to be the case. Still, the fact that he knows about their relationship at all is unsettling, especially in the wake of Diane.

I too am a little surprised by how well Maeve's been handling all this Replicator talk, but I'm also impressed as well, because that seems to be a good sign to me that she's starting to learn some good coping mechanisms for dealing with her fears. I don't doubt she's spooked, of course, and I hope she does continue to open up to Reid about any worries and fears she has about this unsub (or any other stresses, for that matter) when possible. But if she can continue to remain steady and calm and composed about all of this as much as possible, that would be beneficial to both her and Reid in the long run, too.

I'm also glad that she's been able to keep busy with her work and make some headway in catching up. I certainly feel for her with her frustration over Reid being gone so much, but hopefully she'll continue to understand that that's rarely ever in his control, and hopefully she'll be able to find her own good balance between her work and her relationship as well.

And as noted, I adored the spontaneous romance of their night here, and definitely want them to do more of that (especially since, with this job, it's near impossible to make plans with your significant other). But maybe she and Reid can talk about little things they can do for each other when they DO get home from work, or try and make a plan for at least one date night a week when possible, or something like that, to help keep a little bit of regular romance in their lives, too, as well as to give them something to look forward to when they do get home from work. I think they'll be able to sort this out well enough, though :). Their love for each other is so apparent, and they deserve to have this relationship work and last.

As for the Replicator case as a whole, ergh, yeah, I feel so much for the team with how stalled this entire thing is. It'd be such a tough spot to be in-on the one hand, they want some answers and clues that could help them properly close this case, but on toe other hand, the only way they could get those is, of course, if they unfortunately have more victims and more crimes and more targeted threats. I feel for Strauss, too-while I share the team's anger over the suggestion to just let this case sit, Strauss does have a good point, and it's gotta be tough for her, too, trying to support their investigation into what's clearly a serious situation while simultaneously wanting them to keep doing their usual jobs, and having to go by what her own boss says.

Did like Garcia's determination to keep investigating the Replicator on the side, though :D. That's the Garcia we all know and love.

Always happy to see this story updated! Love the way you're handling the ups and downs of Reid and Maeve's relationship, and how the stuff with the Replicator is being sprinkled in alongside it. Look forward to seeing what happens next!

I really love the last quote by Thomas Merton.
How appropriate.
marcallie chapter 12 . 5/5/2016
Man, I was so scared they were going to get intercepted on the way back to the apartment, or once they got into the apartment. I know you are following canon, but it's Reid . . . he just doesn't get to have good things happen to him.
AHowell1993 chapter 12 . 5/4/2016

This was so good.
MirandaAnnette144 chapter 11 . 2/27/2016
Aw, I love this story! I really wish it happened in the show! Spencer and Maeve were perfect for each other and would have been so cute together. Obviously, I'm not over this even though it happened like two and a half seasons a go...but what can you do except write or read fanfiction like this amazing one. Seriously, you're writing is great and I can't wait to read more of this story.

By the way I watched 11x15 too and the ending (and the promo for next weeks episode) has got me freakin out. The team needs to save Morgan!

Oh and congrats on the nomination!
