I just discovered this story and I love it, I really hope you update soon. I cant wait to see what happens next :)

I like the cute and fluffy romance you have going on. I don't really like Mal, but that is mostly because of who he is rather than how you write him.

Perhaps have some things in the school break Adens desire to steal from them? She isn't that much of a thief at this point.

My daughter told me about this story, and as soon as I started reading it I fell in love with your portrayal of River and the rest of the crew. Aden is absolutely delightful. The way you've written her is enchanting, a perfect match for River. Plus, I'm a sucker for good fem pairings, and yours is one of the best I've come across in a long time. Can't wait to read the next chapter!

This may be a bit long but I honestly just live your story. River and Aden's relationship is so beautiful and has a sort of pure warmth that I can't help but smile as I read it. Both have obviously been through some dark things in their time that have separated them from connecting to 'normal' people but it just makes the connection they share that much more prescious. (Eh, that sounds really frilly...)
I was really happy you had Inara talk to Aden about everything. The way that you wrote her made the chatacter's experience come through really well. She kept it simple while making sure to give Aden all of the necessary details and answered her questions considerately in a way that no one else the crew would have been able to. Overall I think you really nailed everyone's voice.
I liked the hard love you had Mal give as well, harsh ad it was. Serenity is really perfect for Aden, like an island sanctuary where she can learn to simply BE Aden; but I can't help but worry about what will happen when she encounters the real world.
On a last note I find the contrast if what you did with Aden and River very striking: river KNOWS everything but UNDERSTANDS very little of what she sees; like fast moving pictures in vivid color that are hard to pin down. Aden has a sort of natural UNDERSTANDING, dispite being exposed to very little. She sees how the pictures connect but doesn't know the names of them. All in all I love your work and hope to read more of it soon so keep up the good work! :)

I love it! In later chapters you really start to see the crazy side of River, and that's hard to write. Believe me. So kudos to you. I really hope you keep writing.

Ever since I first read your story the first time I've wanted it to continue. Such a great touch with the characters, they really ring true with the characters on the show. I think the relationship of Aden and River could really help River get better. Of course it won't be easy or quick. With your great grasp of the characters it should be fascinating.
