Wow. Just, wow. I have literally spent the last ten hours reading all of this straight through. The way that you captured Azula's transformation is incredible, and you did it all without changing the base of who Azula is at the same time. Azula has always been my favorite character in ATLA and this story only makes me love her more. I can't wait to get started in on the sequel.

I'm so glad that I found this story and that I decided to start reading fics from this fandom again. I didn't realize how much I missed it, missed the intricate story and each of the complex characters. I've always loved Azula because she's so brave and powerful - especially at a young age that most people tend to ignore when criticizing her for her insanity. It's been awhile since I've found a multichapter fanfiction from this fandom - or even from any fandom - that I've truly enjoyed, and I'm lucky to have read it after you completed the story, or else I couldn't stand waiting with all of the plot twists. So thank you so much for writing this story and bringing these characters to life (although a little more Maiko couldn't have hurt).

Was the sex scene between Ozai and Azula in chapter 24 strictly necessary? It not only feels tacked on, but it's beyond repulsive and serves no purpose to the story as a cohesive whole. I don't understand why it was written in the first place and even after that I don't understand why it wasn't removed.
