However, I just want to state how much I admire your writing style. Your stories dazzle, from each perfect sentence to every revelation about the characters. Your AU Sherlock is certainly a place I enjoy lingering.

Aah, Mary vs Mycroft, could we really doubt who would win?

And this is a scenario I would have loved to see in the show. We just had that glimpse of Mary and Mrs. Hudson talking about the wedding at the end of TEH. What you've written here is a perfect extension of that snippet that made me smile.

Love it...I've often compared Sherlock to a cat in my mind! That Christmas party scene in ASiB, where he's being such a jerk, he strikes me as very cat-like...uneasy with all those people in his space, even thought he knows them all, LOL. Giving Sherlock a bell was a mistake. Poor Mary! But Sherlock will fill the role of toddler nicely. :-)

I love this. I was wondering why it was that Greg was so close with Mary and this makes so much sense. A very nice way of tying them all together as a family. That's sad about Rose Lestrade, but it's nice to see Greg finding comfort where he can.

I don't think there could have been a better surrounding than this cosy home called 221B for Greg to open up.

Again, a well-balanced mix of emotions. You really managed to take up again the wonderful, friendly atmosphere of "Typical Evening" at the beginning of this chapter. No wonder that Greg immediately feels like a part of the family (oh well, he IS part of the family).
A very touching background story for the DI - the line which said that Rose died in his arms made me swallow hard. And yes, I think she and Mary would have been great friends.

"John Watson, what on earth makes you think I'd let any daughter of mine anywhere near an old rogue like you?"
Hehe, it's just like them to lighten up the mood with this friendly bickering that followed. Very in character - as always!

A cathartic and sweet quiet interlude depicted here in Baker Street. You have drawn the parallels b/t Mary and Rose very well. Kudos to Greg for being able to talk about his daughter and the rest for their understanding.

"fresh flood of grief that felt akin to drowning" - the analogy works.

"But he found himself able to pour out his grief to Mary, who also knew sorrow as a lifetime companion and understood his loss. And then, to his relief, he was able to share with her some of the joyous memories" - Beautiful reminder of why it often takes someone who has suffered in order to relate to another hurting soul.

This was lovely. I think Greg would be a great father if he had had the chance , He and Mary's relationship is very sweet and cute,

Any interesting chapter on Mary and Rose. Their lives of what was, is and what could have been.

A softer sweeter side of Greg I doubt the duo would see often, if at all.

To start with, it may sound a bit ridiculous, but I'm close to melting away each time Mrs. Hudson calls Sherlock and John 'her boys'! No wonder that I love this chapter so much ;)

Although she is just thinking those lines like "Running headlong into danger!", I can hear her voice and it is so her to be torn between anger (born of affection) and love for her boys.
I can also see her making herself useful by cooking and baking for the rest of the family - maybe that also helped her to take her mind off her concern for John.

"There's a bit too much testosterone bounding about than I would like, some days, with the two of them." Hehe, I can very well believe this :) On the other hand, one can feel how much she loves exactly this.

Again, a lovely ending with Mary and Mrs. Hudson totally absorbed in 'girl's stuff' with the wedding and all.
