I really liked the whole atmosphere of this story and the way it entered the Centre from the point of view of Sydney's life and Sydney's life from the point of view of an outsider. Your characters and situations were very real and well-rounded, very full. I really liked Rene, and it was splendid to see so much of both Debbie and Nicholas (what about the clone, though?).

A few things threw me off: I almost didn't read it because of the relatively graphic bed scenes, which would have been sad, because I would have missed a great story, and the inclusion of Sam kept taking me aback. But that's mostly because I just don't like Sam, because of how he treated Jarod in "The World's Changing," and it's fairly negligible.

On the whole, I had a great time reading it. I loved how you took out the Centre in such a mundane way as getting the police involved. That was awesome, and just the way it should be.

that was really cool sydney story. I don't think I've ever read such but it was reall good. Well written and I liked the maturity the story had. you should write more stories like this.

I have so very thoroughly enjoyed "Research Subject." The characters were so carefully crafted and developed. Making Cat the center was a very intelligent move! The conflict within the story was so scary at times - I was extremely worried that Lyle or Raines or Willie - or some other slime would kidnap Cat and hold her ransom - or maybe something worse. You handled that very well - Lyle and Willie got "busted" which began the ultimate end of the Centre. Having Raines show up uninvited at Syd and Cat's house was a good touch too (I was worried that the baby would come early and cause complication - but, you again handed that very well.

Your addition of the side romances was great fun. Early on I had not expected Rene and Nicholas, but it soon seemed very natural and good. Excellent that Jarod and Miss Parker are back on very good terms, that Joe has a girlfriend , and very good that Broots also has a very nice girlfriend. Oh top of all, the Centre was brought down. Wow, lots of good stuff here - thanks for being so rounded. This story is excellent support and reason for having a happy family, being inclusive, opening your home, and especially good things do in time come to good people. thanks for the great work - the style was always clear, precise, and adventuresome! We long to read all of your new and exciting works! Thanks for sharing!

Aw,Poor baby Sarah, sort of a rocky start to her life outside the womb. LOL And what a trouper Cathy is! The woman is like a timex! (Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Remember the commericial? Well certainly some of your readers won't. LOL) Glad to see Cathy's Ex get what he deserved. (Guess I've been watching Jarod dish out retribution to long; I've started to glory in the part where the villian gets his comeuppance. LOL) Looking forward to chapter 9... do we really have to wait a whole week? ** Sighs sadly **

I had totally forgotten about this story until I saw someone else's review mentioning it.. I'm glad you continued it! I'd love to see you continue the other story in which Miss Parker is living with Sydney in Arizona... But I guess asking you to give frequent updates on three stories might be a bit too demanding! ;-)

Excellent chapter - thanks so much for posting! Lots of things happened here. The family is happy/content - so glad that Nicholas and his father have lovingly bonded - and Cat helped, I think, to make it easier because she is so open and loving with Nicholas. Too bad that in real life such tragedies as happened to Rene here, do really happen. So terrible that Rene's own father Jake, Cath's ex-husband so viciously beat up his own daughter. Wow - and Sydney is "Jim dandy to the rescue". Sydney can obviously be a mover and shaker when the situation demands - and it surely does not hurt that MP, the jet, and the sweepers are at Sydney's beck and call also. At this point, as you had so carefully set it up, we just KNEW that slimy Lyle would definitely be showing up - glad that MP and Sydney both had such foresight as to have two "bodyguards" on the premises should slimy Lyle (notice how much in the common the two words hare?) decide to make his move. Cat is also in rare thinking form when she dialed 911 - it couldn't have been any better! You wisely had Syd and Rene and MP return as soon as the police had taken Lyle and Willie away. Wow! So much happened here - lots of bad things happened to good people - but they have endured and have hopefully come through this stronger and better equipped. I am also impressed with the unborn daughter "speaking", "comforting" Cat. Could this child also have some sort of powers that the Centre wants? I have always wondered why Lyle wanted Cat so much. I had thought that maybe with Lyle having control of Cat (kidnapping Cat) that Lyle could force Syd to do something that Syd had previously refused to do. Maybe it is because Cat is a chemist? Maybe it is because the unborn child is also gifted, special? You will let us know in chapters to come - which we eagerly await. By the way, I appreciate the way you set up the chapter - a road with a turn. Good choice. I had sort of been expecting Jarod and Miss Parker being able to meet at Syd and Cat's house and for the two to begin to communicate again. Well, that will probably come?.
