This is lovely! It really brought me back to the good old days of Smallville, Chlark in particular. I hope I'm not spoiling anything for you, but the show was so much better in the early days, and I love the innocence of Chlark both on the show and in your story. By the way, I'm kinda envious that you're just now getting into Smallville, watching it for the first time. I love the show to death, but there's part of me that wishes I could go back in time and relive it all again for the first time. Yeah, it's that good. :)

Anyway, I think you're absolutely right about Clark and Chloe going well together. In fact, I think they're perfect together as friends and would be incredible as a romantic couple. Your story gives us a wonderful glimpse of both worlds. It's clear that Chlark are great friends, and you've captured that brilliantly. What I really love, though, is that Clark is actually behaving like any normal teenage boy and notices that Chloe is a beautiful and sexy young woman complete with all the womanly attributes that teenage boys love. It may be a bit cliche, but Clark looking down Chloe's shirt as she bends over is both hilarious and hot. I mean, what teenage boy hasn't sneaked a peek, or tried to at least, down a girl's shirt? ;) Clark's reaction to what he sees is spot on, as is the way he can't help but look the second time as Chloe all but dared him not to.

I really love that Chloe isn't upset with Clark for sneaking a peek. A lot of girls wouldn't be so understanding, but Chloe loves that Clark is finally noticing her, that she's a girl, and the fact that Clark is so adorably embarrassed by being caught only makes the whole thing that much more cute and sweet. And I love that Chloe is the one to be bold about the new sexual element that's swirling around them and their relationship. Her just plopping herself into Clark's lap is so like her. I just have to wonder if she felt something poking her when she sat down. ;)

This is a really great Smallville fic. It's well written, and the characterizations are spot on. I'd love to see more Smallville fics from you in the future. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
