Beautifully written and even more sad of the subsequent events that do become reality. The careful crafting of this story brings forth many emotions: a great visit to the past, a sad and telling reality that is the present, and a hope that maybe in the future, the promise is finally fulfilled.

What an adorable story. I think you captured both their characters very well - especially in the first part when Yoshino was explaining to him how he should react and how she should have to explain it to him. Loved that part.

I like Shikaku

I thought that this was a cute story. I personally think that there should be more Shikaku and Yoshino stories before they had Shikamaru. This was a nice one-shot. Great job!
