Ditto to what everyone said about Morgana. Merlin was very sweet in the way he recognized her, finally. good story.

And you wrote her character well, I'm amazed. She's not just a blatantly evil woman controlled entirely by darkness. You showed that she's broken and lost, fragile and vulnerable. I wish this story could be a long Mergana fic, but it's okay as it is.

This was a very interesting and different read! I'd definitely be intrigued to read a story where Merlin actually attempted to bring Morgana back from the darkness, though I don't know if it would be possible. Anyways, excellent as always!

Oh. My. God. Beautiful! Asolutely stunningly beautiful. Beautifully written AND thought out. I loved Morgana in this, so challenged with different feelings and realistic. And when Merlin said "Remember that, Morgana" - well, I really felt like I was knocked over with emotions, that line and with it the fact that he DID realize it was her were perfect. I am so in love with this!
I know you can't get back to me because I don't have an account (yet?) but I simply could not just dwell in the beauty of this story and not let you know how much I liked it. Keep up the amazing work! :)

I've been reading your fics for the last handful of days. I love them all. Love how you wrote Morgana. I really hope you write a Merlin/Morgana fic. This was great. I want more of it. Maybe with a reveal fic because you're awesome at those.

I say you did a wonderful job writing for Morgana. All of her little excuses just flowed so smoothly, and everything. Ooh, and that whole "magic borrowing" thing was awesome! Also, the way you tied in her seeking out Aithusa, and their later enprisonment was just brilliant!
Plus it was great to see Arthur so worried about a blood-soaked Merlin. :D
