Awesome tale, Doll Girl. I agree wholeheartedly with Teobi - I LOVE the Merman stories. (And also a nod of admiration to Teobi for the Book of Merman - lol)

Gilligan most certainly would have changed after his first encounter with Kinkaid. I like this new strong Gilligan. :D

This was incredible. At first I went almost as white as Gilligan at the return of Kinkaid, but as the story went on it became clear that this time around, the hunter had none of his former 'power' over the castaways. Once bitten twice shy as they say, and not only do the other castaways stand up to Kinkaid, but then Gilligan himself offers to fight him to the death with bayonets. The Book of Merman (see what I did there) has made G Man strong, and a strong, assertive Gilligan is not to be trifled with. He becomes as feral and instinctive as the animals he befriends, and he's right about dolphins, they can kill sharks no problem by pounding them in their underbellies with their snouts.

Gilligan does exactly that with his bayonet to Kinkaid's throat.

The Professor gets rid of all evidence, sacrificing a means of escape in order to protect them all from the 'crime' that has been committed. Meanwhile, Skipper throws the body to the real sharks. A fitting end to Kinkaid's slimy, obnoxious life. He can go and join Ramoo in hell, that is if Satan even wants them.

Loved the hugs and kisses from Mary Ann, too. I just love this whole Merman universe that you've created, and all the chances for Gilligan to prove that he's been a hero all along.

Loved this one and how Gilligan stood up to the shark. He is a hero and will be fine, in all respects he was protecting his family, it can be claimed as self defense.
