Wow you have made me understand the true magnitude of Tom Riddle. He's born of the LOWEST class of magical society, a Muggle and a Squib. One who could also be considered a blood-traitor for choosing to reproduce with a Muggle over her own pure-blood brother. I am convinced her father would have had her bare a child with her brother for the sake of blood purity despite their obvious madness so I actually think of Merope as the bravest and most sensible of the Guants. Out of all the Muggles in their town she chose the one that had all the attributes normally applied to pure-bloods that her family didn't have. But I digress...)

Tom Riddle then despises both the Muggle and Pure-Blood societies as he doesn't fit into either so he wages a war not just on the Muggles but it is simultaneously also on the purest of pure-bloods that he had managed to get under his feet. He's preventing them from the freedom to breed whereas any other pure-blood supremacist would be ordering a breeding program for as many future children as possible (ever heard of the American's Quiverful cult? Shudder) instead of stopping at only 1 or 2.

THEN Riddle secures immortality for himself by defiling ancient and powerful artifacts or heirlooms basically relying on the importance of the artifacts to wizarding history and culture to dissuade others from destroying them. Riddle is forcing those who care about their society to choose between the destruction of their history or the destruction of themselves and their present. Meanwhile he can just wait until the whole country falls and he's the sole survivor.

(You know there was a fanfic I read years ago that you may like. It was set to the song "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay in which Riddle won but eventually realized immortality in solitude was boring. I don't know if it's still on this website or how to find it if it is.)

Thank you SO much for including a bit of your (Dutch?) culture into this story, fanfiction has been a great portal for me to passively learn about the various myths and stories that have influenced cultures. I will soon be looking up that werewolf game as I for some reason am fascinated with werewolves more than any other magical begin I currently know of (other than witches/ wizards).

I also appreciate the world building you put into your stories, I think it's the mark of a great author and provides material for if you were to create sequels. JKR head built a world for her HP series (and it is my secret wish to learn enough about various cultural stories to expand her world to span the globe. I'm really happy about the current expansion through the 5 Fantastic Beasts movies.)

All that to say " keep doing what you are doing!" (And in another language too! I notice 2 of your stories are in Dutch and you mentioned in one of your other stories that I read (I think it was the Weasley pureblood trinket story) that "fresh off the press" didn't sound right in English but it was so close to the English expression "hot off the press" that I wa wondered if the expression exists in the Dutch language. (That expression as in newspapers printed en mass on the industrial sized printing press machines that, as all machines eventually do when used, can become hot from use and that heat transfers to the paper. At least that's how I understand the origin of the expression so maybe it's not so surprising that another language has the same expression. )

Would have loved to see the battle against Moldy Shorts rather than the description of it, but other than that, good stuff. Liked the scene at the end with Dumbles getting a clue, with regards to the prophecy!

Nice plot developments, I liked the way you showed Bellatrix turning against Voldemort in the most Slytherin way possible. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This is the most unusual and intriguing Weasley family fanfic I've ever read, well done! It's rare to read something that focuses on the previous generations of Weasleys before Arthur and Molly, you've created an excellent might-have-been alternate universe - with good plot and character development and lineage characterisation. I can't help wondering, though, how the events of this story eventually lead to the events of your sequel story, "An Other Reality". Anyway, I hope you update this fanfic soon!

This is a brilliantly thought-out and well-writen story! The slow changes to characterisation are wonderful and you leave me wanting more after that cliffhanger! Your family trees are awesome and you can tell that you have put a lot of thought into them.

Actually in Deathly Hallow a case might be made they had plenty of magical cousins on both side, they just not associate with them except for weddings & funerals leading 1 to think they don't live in England or are pureblood fanatic.

This is a really nice concept, how everything changes just because of one change. And how you portray the characters and the characterization is simply fantastic. Keep it up.
