Hello Heartspin! Thank you for this story! It's so adorable!
The relationship with Floi was great, how he slowly fell for Harry until he really considered himself his dad. However it is sad that he and Balin still went to Moria, because unless you change the story dramatically, Moria is a deadly place.
And Bilbo was amazing defending Harry. He shouldn't have gone by himself from Bree to Rivendell, his previous experiences in the wild should have discouraged to attempt that. But I guess he still have some Hobbit's naivete.
About Harry's monster, I imagine that it is something related with Voldemort and his horcrux isn't it? I am wondering how that monster can be destroyed... maybe with some sort of exorcism? Like what Gandalf the white did? Because it is a type of possession. It would do him well to trust in Lord Elrond with this, with the bruises as an evidence should be easier to prove that he is not imagining it, it would be good so he doesn't bear the suffering alone, and sleeping with someone could help as well.
I understand that it is abandoned as most elfling stories. I guess they are hard to finish since they do not have a natural ending nor a climax.
