isoroku chapter 1 . 12/6/2017 It's really a cool story. Although it seems that it is lack of many details, I still like it due to it's fantasy development of plot, that is second time for me to read it. Can you continue it? Or add some things like recalling of Takeru about his undergoing in US? I hope I could see different version of Sadokashima invasion, a really successful one unlike before one. |
edboy4926 chapter 1 . 11/24/2015 Awesome intro. Please, please continue this. |
Brenden chapter 1 . 11/17/2015 goodwork |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/22/2015 whats next its a aggressive and nice story |
aznxa21 chapter 1 . 4/30/2014 Haha trolled the entire base I hope this gets continued. |
garoorar chapter 1 . 4/22/2014 This sounds insanely cool. I hope it's continued. |
IonicAmalgam chapter 1 . 3/27/2014 I am happy to see that events are compressed to avoid repeating things people know. Time skips is a very important thing to use, and sometimes concise is more important than depth. Muv Luv is a very very long VN, and I think it would be far too hard to properly finish a story for normal fanfiction writers without usage of time skips and such. As always, looking forward for updates. |
Ressan chapter 1 . 3/26/2014 This is great( even if it just shows the results while skipping alot), and nice one with SES, cant wait for more. Since your using this quick story telling method i hope you to beyond sadogashima ( Europa, or versus opponents like Ikaruga or the guys behind the debacle at the eclipse anime . Great trolling of Yoroi and Yuuko. So i cant wait for more of this. |
Youmu Konpaku chapter 1 . 3/25/2014 There's a problem of relying on Rule of Cool to fuel your story, namely that once the initial reactions of, "OH SNAP," and, "HOLY SHIT!" fade away and readers actually bother to think, the story falls to complete pieces. There's absolutely no justification for anything that happens nor why Takeru has suddenly manned up and become the, essentially for now, flawless character he is. |
Castage chapter 1 . 3/4/2014 I like the concept of your story. Majority of fics closely fallow the events from game, you separate yourself from this events, that makes your story fresh. Finally Takeru has some rank and subordinates. Rear Admiral is unexpected but welcomed (would have expected a general). By the way, does that mean he outranks General Radhabinod, is he not outranked? That would be little strange, senior officer serving under someone with lower rank. Unless TSF forces have different rank system – something worth looking into. One question through. His powers and knowledge can be explained through endless loops (it might even be his n-th loop when he does not follow Yuko) – how you explain his rapid gain in influence and development of his own programs? Especially that what requires to be build and modification (TSFs, space program), is time consuming, not to mention training of personnel. There seems just to be to little time to actually do that (all that done in 44 days?). Unless you had Takeru go back earlier than 22.10.2001? Other thing that I think your story lacks is more in depth character interactions. You really cut to much of dialogue (More interactions! More internal thoughts! More AWE [of Takeru]!). Take note, this are just my personal thoughts. I look forward to your next chapter. |
valerian07 chapter 1 . 3/1/2014 Super story. Best start ever. |
Guest chapter 1 . 3/1/2014 I like Muv Luv Alternative "New Game " stories but unfortunately i have to agree with every single word that Avenger2014 wrote. Other than that,i found strange that Takeru would go with the Americans especially since he hates Alternative V and he knows the mess that they are going to make if Alternative V succeeds (G-Bomb,tsunami,Goodbye Japan and Eurasia, salt sea,etc...). Another thing that put me off was the XM3(i think that in your story was XM8?); i mean why the hell giving it to the Infinities? Leaving aside the fact that without Yuuko (Genius who used Kasumi plus her research to develop it) i don't know how Takeru (Idiot who explained the concept of it through a videogame he played in another world) developed it; The Valkyries survived the coup thanks to the XM3 while losing 1 member and having 1 with serious injuries but in your story they don't have it but they are still fine and dandy. Not to mention that without Takeru's support/encouragement one of the girls would have succumbed during the coup because of their problems (Meiya worrying about the people and her sister,Chizuru worrying about her father's death,Ayamine worrying for Sagiri,Tama about her father,Mikoto about her father). Last but not least,Alternative IV. Sumika is mentally destroyed because she saw his childhood friend being eaten alive by a BETA,has lost her body and the BETA raped her. Without Takeru going back to his world to retrieve the equation Yuuko would have never completed it. Sorry if i sounded harsh but i like your writing and i prefer to explain exactly what i didn't like instead of just saying IT SUCKS! IT'S GOOD! |
Anonn chapter 1 . 3/1/2014 The idea is great, but despite what you said, you had radically departed from muvluv canon the moment Takeru got involved with the Americans at the beginning :P I feel that many plot points have been left out, such as how Takeru contacted the Americans, Takeru' s adventures in America, his encounter with the Infinities and how he became their leader, Takeru's meeting with the President, etc. These would be juicy material for at least a few chapters. A story with great potential, but currently have so many things left out that I don't get the whole picture. |
Avenger2014 chapter 1 . 2/28/2014 Decided to set up an account easier to keep track of read stories better than using anon for reviews, well what can I say I was quite happy to see another Muv fic (we don't have enough IMHO) but I can't say I was impressed at all, too many plot holes and this just came off as one large marty sue fic. I will admit it was a good attempt but that's it. problems I found: 1. Sumiko! - straight off the bat major error with the name, this admittedly resulted in myself casting a critical eye over the rest of this story. 2. The sword, why did it come back? just convenience? 3. Getting a TSF working, how? it was explained in canon that ALL the TSF's in the town had removed the cockpit blocks after the battle you really think the military would leave them there otherwise, Takeru himself spent over 3 hours looking for one. 4. stealth sub and America, how did he communicate with them or even know the sub was there (being stealth an all) and why did they believe him? After all they would have records of his death too, and suddenly he is alive and in a TSF registered in the Yokohama hive attack a place where Alt IV is, we know the CIA has people everywhere Takeru would be accosted and killed quickly. that or put in an underground prison, Yuuko even says that few would believe him. 5. The war games, Unlikely that the Americans would give Takeru power like that in less than 2 weeks and the IJA and UN forces would put a stop to that too, they didn't like having the US forces near by during the 5/12 incident. 6. all those secret projects starting up, I will admit I liked the blackbird TSF idea, but remember Yuuko had to barter a lot to get a mothballed project why are they throwing them to Takeru? 7. C.C.S.E it was said that the 207th wouldn't pass because of the distance between the group, Meiya was standoffish, Tama avoided conflict and well Sakaki and Ayamine. but somehow they passed (you even handwaved it) 8. the HSST, Tama wouldn't have shot it down once again Takeru convinced her too and what is this 'weapon' that could have done it and wouldn't that have potentally killed the 207th if it damaged the base? 9. Mt Tengen, why did Yuuko send soldiers not the 207th again it was Takeru (see a pattern) that got the soldiers involved Yuuko wanted the squad to get some experience I know this issue sets off the coup but coming up with something anything would have been better than glossing over it. 10. Saikon, he is accosted by Takeru whom he knows is 'dead' who turns up in an American uniform with unknown objective and Saikon instantly trusts him sorry but I don't buy that even the 'its the only option' feels too thin. 11. UN power, he suddenly takes power from Yuuko in the base, why does he have that authority? Sorry about that, but this is the problem when you rush to get 1 chapter to fill the whole of the main story, your idea was good, but you could have spent several chapters explaining his adventures in America, this comes across as sloppy and tiring, you will need to spend time doing flash backs now or this fic drown with all the holes. Still I will be keeping an eye on this as it may be salvageable, sorry for being harsh but the idea is good the execution however was very poor, might want to reconsider chapter 2 and instead plug these holes first. |
Kung Fu King chapter 1 . 2/27/2014 Wow... didn't see that one coming. This story is like on steroids pile driving through all the filler beginning and going straight to the action. I gotta say I'm liking it so far. Takeru (Blackbird) being a badass from the start was really enticing to say the least but most of the drama that Muv Luv is famed for was cut out. Still, I get where you're going with this. Not everyone has the patience and time like a certain Muv Luv writer *cough cough PX*. Still this is very good and got me reading from top to bottom. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one and hopefully we'll get to see more. I like the changes you made and some funny commentaries like Takeru fixing the downed Gekishin near his house and prostrating it in the other base. Though most of the detail was left out on how he got so powerful in America, I'd say to hell with the story and let's just go with the awesomeness. As for the Infinities, meh, don't really know them that much. But Takeru taking over the ALT IV project... I'm getting some bad vibes that he's the one in control of the situation now and is planning something big. Really big. Well we'll probably find out in the next chapter. Kung Fu King out |
