But don't forget that in every definition of the DSM (and I think it would be the same for the OP Edition ;D ), there is always a criterion saying "requirement for clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of life".

The formatting makes it really hard to read, though, It would be much better if you double spaced between paragraphs, then it doesn't come out all bunched up as it does here.

As for the entire premise I have a lot of trouble believing that Chopper has never heard of mental illness before. That would be quite a topic for Doctorine to miss.

The crew's reactions at the end were nice, especially Zoro and Sanji yelling their diagnoses at each other were fun.
