The most striking thing about this story is the perfect contrast between the idyllic afternoon and the darkness in Joffrey's mind. His sadism is perfectly balanced with the pleasant details of the singing of the birds (reflected in Sansa's enjoyment of their melody and Joffrey's desire to shoot them) and the warm breeze. The phrase "I quite liked my hands around your neck" gave me chills, and I like that Sansa caught on. She isn't stupid, but she's trusting and hopeful, and I liked the way you depict her slowly beginning to gain insight into Joffrey's nature. His need to be in control, his reaction to her pinning him down, his warring annoyance and eagerness when he has her lick his boots... You characterize him so well. His fantasy of their wedding night... It's well-rendered and disturbing and so very Joffrey. I feel that, if he was a POV character, this would fit right in to his narration. Sansa's dialogue is done well, too. Her romantic nature wars with her fear, and it's very unsettling, but in the most delicious way. All of the details are just too good. I won't mention them all; instead I'll just say that I love this very canon fic. I only wish there were more stories like this. I suppose we'll have to write them!
