Reviews for The Best of Enemies
FloatingPizza chapter 1 . 1/30/2015
An interesting, well-written crossover. I haven't seen this episode, but Ying Mu was Hawkeye through and through. You handle the theme of enemies cooperating well, showing Ying Mu and Iroh connecting in subtle ways without losing tension. Nice blend of humor and pathos.

Wow! Where do I even begin?

Well, first of all, you did a great job writing Ying Mu; it's very easy to spy Hawkeye's character coming through. I enjoyed the jokes, especially the, 'bronze chicken' crack. And with the silly comes the serious, which was also handled well.

I like little details made in combining these two worlds, in translating the Korean War to the Hundred Year War so seamlessly. And, I did in fact look it up and was delighted to see Mako on the actors list. That makes seeing a young Iroh here just too perfect!

Overall, I love M*A*S*H and I love Avatar, and you have done a wonderful job combining the two. The writing was very descriptive yet easy to read. Great job!
