Chapter 3 and the paragraph about what love felt like to Merlin was stunning...every happy thought shadowed by pain and loss; full of foreboding and knowledge that this moment was not going to last...but also acceptance that if that was all they were going to be allowed then it was enough...
Then the end, the unexplained mystery of the woman and her unusual kindness in facilitating this brief reunion; and Merlins quiet acceptence of the gift of that moment.

A love story but filled with such sadness; unrequited love due to space, distance and time. Glad you kept Merlin's feet on the ground as he was able to understand and accept the notion of 'one moment' in time. Some of your word choices are heartbreaking especially... Alone. Together. Always. Beautifully written with deep feelings...

Merlin has found himself in a all consuming place, filled with passion and joy - why would he want to leave? What is going on in the world outside whilst he is in this one? Surely if he were to return it would be to a bleak place in comparison and there in lies more sorrow.

With it being Valentines day tomorrow one would hope the end notes (if they are near) will be happy ones.
