Ok I think I know what happened to missing chapter - it looks like you accidentally posted chapter 6 twice (ch 5 and 6) so I'm more sure there is a whole chapter missing which sucks cz it seems like it wld be the best chapter of the story. I hope you will fix it :-)

Is there a chapter missing between 4 and 5? It jumps from Steve being in bed with Frances (whom I don't know from the show) at the end of chapter 4 - to Steve already being kidnapped, drugged and being savagely operated on. Too many missing details between chapters I wld have liked to have read. Good story, I just am confused by what seems like a missing chapter. :-) Maybe you tell what happened in later chapters.

i enjoyed this story, but Chapters 5 & 6 are the same. There are references to there being twins, but Frances never told Steve there were twins. I think something is missing.

Zulicka has a great idea of bringing us little moments in the brothers-in-law's lives, together with Frances and Karen and the whole gang. Keep Catherine out of it, though. It was hard reading about her in PM, but since she wasn't McGarrett's 'thing' I was able to put up with her.

Oh that was sweet. Not what happened to Steve mind you, but the tender moment between husband and wife as they wait for the blessed event. Like Frances I would have hugged Steve to death and never let go myself after what happened.

I got a warm fuzzy feeling at the end scene. I too love that couple and wish there was a Frances on the show. However I fear that they might cast a Catherine-type actress in her role and that would make me despise her. I think its best she remains faceless.

I'm a brand new McFrances fan and I have a suggestion: I've been reading a story with an OC that is short moments taken at random in various periods in Steve and his wife's lives, with children and all. It's very entertaining and you wouldn't have to write a long story, just bits. Maybe I should ask HelenBeacham that question?

Frances should be a fixture on the show; then again as Trace10 said, she’d have a face and voice and as luck would have it they would cast a little teenage-looking squeaky-voice Catherine-alike to play her.

I’m a huge McFrances fan and I hope that you or HelenB will bring us more soon.

This character Frances has impressed me. Why am I not repulsed by her as much as I am with Catherine on the series? One reason is that she doesn’t have a face or a voice; therefore you can imagine her the way you like her to be, unlike the annoying actresses on the show. Thumbs down to the casting director on a job badly done.

Second she’s not meddlesome or trying to take over the ship and its captain like what’s happening on the show. Also Danny has his own Frances in the person of Karen, the sister. Both men are happily married and the bromance still abounds. High kudos on capturing the very essence that is Frances Nyland-McGarrett.

I simply adore those two Lt Cmdrs. We should have them together serving on a mission abroad or even go back to when they first met.

You gave me cold sweats when the ripper attacked Steve but thank goodness, Danny and the gang arrived in time. I knew you weren’t going to kill him but nevertheless, it was scary.

It might have been overlooked by many but it pleased me that Steve reached out to both his wife and best friend at the end. And that throughout the story, Frances never pushed Danny aside; she treats both partners equally and understands that they need each other at times. She knows when to step back and give them their space, unlike someone I know on the show.

This was a great story. The doctor was really a grisly villain, doing the most inhumane things to people. I was at the edge of my seat when he attacked Steve at home and almost killed him. The pacing was great and the plot was very exciting. And I liked the characters of Frances and Karen. They were perfect for Steve and Danny.

I sure would be delighted to read more McFrances stories in the near future. I prefer OCs to the ‘thing’ on TV.
