The descriptions of each girl in the collection of photographs was great! I could picture every single one of them, almost like I was actually seeing the photo exhibit. I liked the thorough, evocative descriptions of the different types of scars - excellent use of adjectives (thin, silvery, ropey, mottled, etc...) I loved Dennis using Colin's camera for the project too, because, of course, Colin's death is probably what hurt him most out of the war.

By the way, I think a sequel doing the same thing featuring male characters would be great and you should do it.

Wow, this was a beautiful take on scars, their meanings, and the aftereffects of the war. Dennis honors Colin's memory, and even the 'unconventional' scars - Susan Bones, Fleur - they are all written so wonderfully.
Maya Angelou is one of my favorite women. I've read her book countless times and this fic based off of her poem is just so wonderful.

Wow okay. So. My soul just flew out the window.

Each individual snippet was incredible, and it was powerful without being verbose. Each portion stood out, and for good reason! It also reflected a lot on Dennis, and in some regards, Colin. This was a gorgeous piece. Favorited and adored.

This is absolutely brilliant. I love it. I love Dennis using Colin's camera for it, and I love the way the scars of the war have shown themselves on people differently. Especially Susan's, I love the line about how just because scars aren't conventional don't mean they aren't there. And I love what Hermione's is, how that just sets everything up so well, it's brilliant. (Also, you should totally do a sequel about Harry and the boy's scars!)

I am crying. This is the type of stuff we need to read in regards to the post-Hogwarts. That these characters (all in-character as well) went through this, and didn't come out of it unscathed, but instead came out a little stronger because of it. And the whole beginning with Dennis using Collin's camera... a shot to the heart I tell ya.

I loved this. I really like how you showcase the different scars that these women received during the war by having Dennis take pictures of them. Dennis as a photographer after Colin's death is a wonderful headcanon, and I really think it makes a lot of sense. I really like the way you ended it, as well, almost setting it up for a companion piece about the men.

Two small SPaG errors - 'bear apart from the black lines of a Muggle tattoo' should be 'bare apart...', and 'Luna silvery hair' should be 'Luna's silvery hair'.

I really like that you included Orla Quirke, also - I love when authors utilize minor characters. I like the details you included about her, also - like that she was smaller than even Dennis, and that she helped other students avoid detention.

I have no words for this - it was stunning. Tragically beautiful, in a way. The different scars they all have and your amazing description; I could see it all before my eyes. The idea of it is brilliant in itself, and having Dennis Creevey doing it with Colin's camera is just so powerful. Honestly, this was brilliant.

This is a really nice idea, and quite different to everything I've read before. I liked that you were inspired by a poem. That was really nice.

I also enjoyed how you accentuated all the battle scars of the war. That is honestly a very different takes on it. A lot of people write about the scars, but never in this format.

SPaG was great, too, and I loved all the characters you had in here. And I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a companion piece about the men too (you said it in the last line and it got me thinking. I cannot be blamed).

The writing was very well done and I loved the special effort you took in making each photo's description unique. I love how Dennis took the pictures with Colin's camera, and how the camera still had a piece of Colin's spirit. That was kind of heartbreaking. I lovelovelove all the different sections about the 'phenomenal women'. I think my favorites were Susan and Fleur, those two were just gorgeous. I absolutely adore everything about this one-shot: it was written fabulously and the idea of this is truly brilliant. Well done, darling! :''D

I shan't lie, in the end I had tears in my eyes (which happens to me ALL THE TIME with movies but rarely with written stories, so that's really, really well done on your part).
I think this is absolutely stunningly written.
I absolutely loved the fact that it was Dennis who was requested to take the pictures and especially that he used Colin's camera to make him part of it as well, that was sad but at the same time a really nice touch.
The pictures you describe were all very powerful, I could picture each and every one of them in my mind, like they were actually right in front of me, and I love the fact that you made each of them come to terms with the scars they've got and how Dennis showed that they were still beautiful despite how they might look.
There were some small typos but they didn't distract from the story.
Once again, very well done (and you know what, this goes into favourites, I really loved it).

The thought put into this is amazing, and I love it. Every section is perfectly written, and I love that it was Dennis who took the pictures with Colin's Camera.

One mistake in the last line - He wonders is Harry. Should be if.

The sections were all stunningly written, but my favorites were Fleur and Susan. I love the idea of Fleur's tattoo, but it was the section on Susan that really struck me. Sometimes those are the scars that really hurt. Truly, I loved this story.

Oh, wow. This was so beautifully written that it's taken my breath away - all the girls of wartime and how they had to grow up too fast... I'm going to review it section by section because that's the only way to get my thoughts in order. So, the first section. It's a really brilliant opening, showing Dennis's feelings towards the battle and the project, and I just love that it was all Hermione's idea. It's so... Hermione. The second section was gorgeous - he had to use Colin's camera because it's all for Colin, and just awwww and tears. Lavender's section is amazing - you've captured the deeper parts of her personality and I love that she's managed to come to term with her scars. The Patil twins' section is really chilling, and I love the idea f showing innocent smiles and then their horrific scars. Susan's section was good, too, and the last line was so beautiful and so true. Little Ola Quirke is lovely, even though she's a very minor character, and her scars just gave me the chills. Ginny's section was definitely one of the best, and I LOVED the little detail of the photograph. It's just so completely perfect. Fleur's was really sweet and gave such depth to her character, and Luna's was so... Luna. And of course, Hermione's was amazing - just the image is making my eyes prick. The last section is wonderful and I just love this whole piece so much. Thank you for writing that.
