The Beautiful Filth chapter 2 . 1/21/2016 John's nightmares are certainly harrowing, but I am happy our Captain has a detective and a soldier to look after him!x |
Fang's Fawn chapter 2 . 8/7/2014 I was tense along with Mary...if John had hurt her he'd have been devastated. You've fleshed her out as a character so well! |
Fang's Fawn chapter 1 . 8/7/2014 Sweet exchange...I love Mary and Sherlock's chats about John! |
Ennui Enigma chapter 1 . 1/26/2014 Thoughtful chapter. Some great heart-to-heart dialogue. Insightful. "He's not boring," Sherlock explained, smirking. "And apparently we are two of kind, then, as I can see that you have no intention of breaking your engagement - indeed! |
Ennui Enigma chapter 2 . 1/26/2014 Chapter went through a full spectrum of emotions... endearing, scared, anxious, terrified, comforted, poignant... Actions and words of the characters matched and enhanced the other to make it more powerful in conveying the feelings. Nicely done, again! "I'm aware you're just using me as an alternative heating source," he murmured into her hair. "Of course," she teased. "That's why I married you, you know. To keep me warm at night." - LOL! I can relate :) Like the ending! |
Prothoe chapter 2 . 1/25/2014 "Don't be ridiculous, darling," she whispered ardently in his ear. "How could cuteness be of any practical use against hypothermia?" Oh Mary, you are just too adorable:) Then I felt so sorry for the wonderful Watsons that they had to suffer so much. Mary's nightmare was very intense and reflecting her separation anxiety in a heart-wrenching way. Furthermore, I was deeply touched by the image of Sherlock as their guardian angel. I liked the way he supported Mary with his presence during John's nightmare. You also found a wonderful explanation for John's nightmares - sad and beautiful at the same time. And very plausible at that: "That's his greatest fear - failing to protect those he cares about: the ultimate type of uselessness." Thank you for giving me feels. |
AngelDKWitch chapter 2 . 1/24/2014 Oh boy.. Great writting :) Like to read more ;) |
BlueSkye12 chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 Gosh, I just love your Mary stories! |
mrspencil chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 Again, very thoughtful, and some interesting observations and conclusions. Nicely done:-) |
star-eye chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 Heart-achingly wonderful! A great wrap-up and testament to the love between the Watsons and the friendship that they share with Sherlock! |
Xin0Lan chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 Quite an emotional chapter. I was touched. The paragraph about Sherlock as likened to a guardian angel is written well. The conclusion was also heartfelt, Sherlock making Mary aware of the "What Ifs" strengthening her loyalty and admiration for the two important men in her life. |
Shiary chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 Very nice. |
Heather Snow chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 Lovely chapter. Loved the dialogue. Favorite bit: “Don’t be ridiculous, darling,” she whispered ardently in his ear. “How could cuteness be of any practical use against hypothermia?” And then of course, Sherlock's matter-of-fact recognition that he's a good friend to them. :-) |
Louey06 chapter 2 . 1/23/2014 This was lovely. I love how Sherlock was rifht there ready to step in. I also like how John was there for Mary when she had nightmares. They are both a mess. Really nicely done this was beautiful |
star-eye chapter 1 . 1/22/2014 Oh dear. Poor...well everyone I suppose! Mary being kidnapped and still standing by John makes perfect sense, although I have to wonder at her sticking by John even when faced with this much of a threat. But then...well I suppose that's what love is, isn't it? Accepting someone for the good, the bad, and the dangerous no matter what. Incredible writing and message. I can't wait for the update! |
