very good background story for brook. :)

That was really very good, not that I'm surprised.
The story is quite gripping, and as all the background stories you have done, makes complete sense for the character.
The way you wrote Brook seems to flow effortlessly, I particularly enjoyed how you explain the details we know about Brook, from the way he expresses himself to why he used to wear glasses, and how you weaved his mannerisms into your writing. It makes him really come to life.
I also liked your OC's and the pirates...and the doctor lol...

As the same for "Before they were pirates" you respect the character and you make him really real! As a child, a teen or a young adult, we can see the changings on Brook. That was a really good version of his first life! I'm going to read the second one

Oh I love this so much! Absolutely perfect! I was half expecting Brook to ask a royal to show him her panties, but it turns out he was discharged for something completely irrelevant to panties.., well except that that guy had his in a twist, bitch.., how dare he use deceit! I love Drake and his gift.., that was beautiful, it does look ridiculous.., I wish Opa was real :( boy 5 for 6 six year old Brook.., damn it even a 6 year old is taller than me! I love thus so much.., Brook is slowly becoming my favorite character.., I'm starting to think he always was but I was just too focused on the monster trio.., damn those attention whores, hogging all the spotlight.., favorite Brook fic! Off to song if bone!

This is truly wonderful. I love Brook's childhood, and the smatterings of German, hehe. Brook is a man of many talents, it appears, so him moving from one profession to another is actually very interesting (mercenary, guard, pirate first mate/captain). I love especially the line that describes Brook's tone dial recording at the end of the Rumbar Pirates: "Captain Yorki's favorite, Bink's Sake; to hear it dwindling from a lively chorus to a solo piece as Brook was the last to succumb to the poison in his veins." I think that really captures the essence of that particular scene in the flashback very well. The last line, too, is haunting. I loved it.

Your fic is just awesome! I really loved it, the way you depicted Brook's past is trully impressive. I'm waiting for Song of Bone.
