I don't know if I've ever told you, but this is my favorite. Tied for favorite? It's the sweetest thing I've ever read. These two are too much.

I desperately want to fast forward to Prim's eighteenth birthday, but somehow that feels like cheating, because there must be ten thousand perfect little moments to imagine between now and then. :)

Good. Gravy. No one has ever made me care about secondary characters until now. I've read this 5 times now and I love it more every time. The coming of age tween attitude of Prim is beautiful and funny, Marko is fucking precious and so sweet... honestly this is a masterpiece. I know you've been feeling crummy but I really hope that you get better, you have an amazing gift and it's an honor to be able to read your work. When you do come back I'd LOVE to see this expand, is so so so so damn good.

Okay. Now I ship Prim and Marko. This was beautiful. I liked the balance of sweetness and coming of age a bit for Prim as she realized some things about herself and others as well as the longing running in the undercurrent from all the characters in differing ways. Masterfully done. Such a lovely read, not sure why I didn't read this sooner.
Honestly, your story When the sun fell in love with moon has really stuck with me. I read the Norwegian folktale to my daughter (8) and she enjoyed it. I'm currently reading a novelization of it by Jessica day george and am enjoying her take so far. But always in my mind now are Peeta and Katniss and hoping that she will finally realize the depth and breadth of his love for her so they can be happy together. I'm going to reread yours from the start. It really got to me and I thank you for writing something so hauntingly beautiful.

It been a while since I read this last and I had forgotten how the painful longing of these characters made my heart ache! Not as much as that between Peeta and Katniss but I care about Prim and Marko's future happiness and Janek and Alyss' past very much.
Having it told through Prim's perspective was so clever, with her feelings and body changing into womanhood.
I didn't pick up the significance of Prim stating there are many reasons Peeta can't tell Katniss his feelings the first time I read this. Does this mean Prim, Alys and the rest of the Mellarks know about Snow and what Peeta fears would happen if he was open about it?
I would love to read more from the characters in town if you have the urge to continue this parallel storyline.

Oh I can only imagine the havoc Prim's first letter would have created. Glad that she decided to start over on the letter as it isn't really her story to tell. I spent all day yesterday reading most of your stories here, and am now going back to comment on them.
