I prefer stories who follow the books and you have done it well :). I'm used to read stories by the number of reviews, so you just really prove me that I'm wrong with that hahaa. I'm glad I stumbled upon this story. I've been wanting to read something angsty and Snapey and anon compliant for a while and that's pretty hard these days, but this is really good so far. I'm really curious to see more of Lily in the future because I'm really enjoying the way you've written her thus far, even if it hasn't been much. I don t think Snape in this chapter is a bastard. It is only logical to me that after such a long-time torture from his father he wanted to pay him back in the same currency. I feel sorry for him - he had to grow up in a horrible environment. Perhaps if his mother loved him more and was nicer to him, he could have been a different person.

For a first fan fic you're doing very well! I notice this story moves along quickly. After the prologue I expected a more gradual development.

This is well written. Even though this chapter covers familiar ground, there are interesting nuances brought out that weren't in the original by JKR.

I like this story. I have always wanted to know Snape s backstory, but J.K. hasn t honored us yet.
