Patroclus witnesses a traumatic event

He pretended to be, and he would never let his cousin know just how much the prospect of him leaving scared him. It was just another war, however. This was his guardian's job However, the thoughts swirled in his head and dark worries corrupted his mind, tormenting him of dangerous scenarios that his cousin might encounter and suddenly, he didn't want his guardian leaving.

"I love you, cousin." He said. It was rare that we talked so freely. "I love you too. Bad people don't love either. You weren't lying, were you?" He shook his head at me and responded. "Of course not." I gave a small smile. "Then you're not a bad person." I knew it was true. If my cousin, who killed everyday could be good by helping me, then there was hope for me as well
