Wander contemplates his presence in the forbidden land, coming face to face with the XIIIth Colossus.

My retelling of Shadow of the Colossus, with the addition of Wander and Mono's story BEFORE the game begins, and the after-story.

When the shadows of man ran deep, the earth found no sleep and roamed in lament and served dark souls. The legend of Wander's ancestors as they flee their sacked home by the sea and seek a new guardian.

There was once a land where the people did not fear death, for they trusted its gatekeeper. Alternate character interpretation on Dormin, and the tragedy of its sealing.

Grey eyes meet blue ones as Wander pulls the bow tighter, tighter. Does the eagle know? Does it know that this insignificant, clumsy little thing has laid its kin to ruin?

Taking a break at a shrine, the Wanderer thinks about his quest and the prices he pays in body and soul. What does it mean to murder mountains? No one said love was easy.

A tale of love and anger against the world unravels as the mountains shake to suffer a warrior's choice.

You could call it a happier ending to the game. Wander's thoughts and guilt he bears becomes clear in his final moments, knowing it's all his fault for all their deaths. Wander/Mono, a lot happier than it may sound.

A princess chased from her kingdom for her blood seeks safety and revenge in a place known as the Forbidden Land. Dormin takes the girl's offer and gives her the task of defeating colossi alongside Wander. Mono is Wanders sister in this, Wanderxoc

If only for a moment, one is forced to stop and wonder: was this truly worth it?

Some stories begin. Others can only look back and say, before. — PREGAME;

After all that happened, Wander manages to atone for everything that he had done. And with that, what will happen with Mono and himself now that they are free to live their lives together? Read on and find out. Rated to be safe, I do not own SotC.

He had done some daring feats in his life time- stealing a magic sword from a great King, slaying sixteen Collosi and even escaping the forbidden lands- but nothing could prepare him for what he was about to face.

Mono seeks the only man who can help her restore Wander.
