After a misfire from a spell from Luz, something happens to Eda. She's cloned. However, this clone is no illusion; it's a solid, flesh and blood clone. His name: Zeo. Follow him as he tries to comes into his own and sets himself apart from Eda while also dealing with problems of his own. Meanwhile, struggles with deciding whether to see Zeo as her son or just a clone.

The past few years have been kind and favorable to Eda. Steal, sell, teach; it's been a wonderful life. But word has gotten out that she knows a secret which could shake the hierarchy of the Boiling Isles. Now she is on the lam and has taken her family with her in an attempt to save herself and the home she loves.

Amity finds herself in front of a dilapidated school with no explanation of how she arrived there. She only knows she must find whatever magic secrets this school may still be holding. This was based on a nightmare I had some time ago that I've not been able to shake, just given an Owl House backdrop with references to the Cthulhu Mythos and Bloodborne thrown in.

Amity finds herself distracted.

Rule #1: Magic cannot come from nothing. It requires an energy source, such as the bile generated by a witch's bile gland. Rule #2: Humans do not have a magical bile gland, and thus must rely on the magic of their surroundings to perform the same feats that a witch can. Rule #3: Magic is a gift from the Boiling Isles. Therefore, the human realm does not have magic.

After Luz and Amity undergo a traumatic experience together while pursuing a dangerous criminal, the two girls discuss the events with their respective mentors, Eda and Lilith... then meet up with each other to deal with the lingering effects of what took place.

Eda and Lilith were close growing up. Even if Lilith was an uptight, rule following stickler, who, even back then, was way too concerned with all her studying. Or; A little snapshot into Eda and Lilith's school days.

Luz wasn't looking forward to going to a Hexside dance at all. But with Amity there it wasn't too bad of an experience.
