Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm basically a fanfiction author that started out writing spam over a decade ago. Though none of my stories have really became super notorious or received multiple dramatic readings on the internet like some of these other great turds snaking their way across the universe, I do happen to know how to make spam fics entertaining, in ways that don't need to resort to total memeshitting. Maybe I can make your normie canon-compliant, or yaoi/yuri smut fanfic a more enjoyable read, too. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm generally quite good with using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, as well as proof-reading. I have a way with biting, if vulgar, humour. I'm great with absurdity and having it flow together in some sort of way. I even have some amount of ability to purposely break the rules of writing and make it not completely terrible and stupid. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm a lazy, moody cunt. I also have limited experience in writing longer, novelette to novel-sized stories, shorter stories are my comfort zone. Likewise, my experience with writing "seriously" is limited, as well. Characters in my fanfics tend to resemble demented sex demons and/or psychotic, homosexual morons more so than whatever they're supposed to be in canon, purely to suit my mood and writing preference. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Anything that is funny and thought-provoking. Even emotionally touching fics, and I don't mind smut, either; at least when it isn't utterly terrible or uninteresting. Also some good ol' spam and troll fanfics! Hell, especially spam and troll fanfics! |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Totally uninspired shit, and, even more importantly, EXCRUCIATINGLY FUCKING STUPID, BORING, AND INFURIATING! I also despise high school fanfics of any sort, unless if they're of the Columbine (or REALLY spammy) variety. I refuse to work with script fic. Script fic is fucking disgusting. |
