I don't think I'm all that harsh - I mean, I'll get my point across, but I won't be unnecessarily mean and I'll go about giving critiques by gently drawing attention to certain weaknesses rather than abruptly hashing them out :D I like to think I'm pretty laid-back; the only thing that'll stop me from doing your requests is differences in time-zone hence the fact that I might be asleep, the fact that I may be working on someone else's request (I do them in order of request; That way it's fair and no hard feelings, yeah? :D) or the fact that I may not have seen your request yet...

P.S. I understand that given how easy it is for thieves posing as beta-readers to steal work, some authors may be reluctant to trust (much less use) beta-readers, so if you have this issue, I can produce referees. However, in trying to respect their privacy, I will not disclose their names to the public and instead humbly request that if you have this issue, to please PM me. Of course this means that I may ask you to referee for me in the future, but rest reassured that if you do, it will be of your own volition. I also know some writers would rather not announce that they are using beta-readers to the general public so I don't require being credited for my work and I won't pressure anyone into anything :D

I like to think that because I'm not a native speaker of English, I'm a million times more scared than you to make mistakes so nothing much gets past me :D Again, if you don't believe me, click on one of my stories to see for yourself xD Also, I check essays for my friends at school so I have tonnes of experience! xD

At school I take a subject called "English Language" which focuses on English as a language/science rather than as a literature, so my strengths lie in Syntax/grammar/morphology/lexemes/semantics - basically breaking the English language down to its very core so if you're worried about grammar or weak/choppy sounding sentences or repetitiveness, Look no further! Even if you're not sure, why not give me a try? I promise you you won't regret it! ~

This is all I can think of at the moment, but here's a brief list on the kinds of services I offer (If what you wish to request of me doesn't appear on here, just toss me an inbox and check with me; I'll most likely agree anyway xD)

1)Editing: Ofc I understand if some people only want their work commented on rather than changed, but I offer editing services for things like changing tenses/ altering wording slightly to make sentences flow better; but even if you give me permission to edit, I'll bolden anything I change so that you can compare it with the original and decide whether or not the changes are welcome or not :D

2) Offering ideas on plot development: Have writer's block? Not to worry! I've been told that I have an overflowing imagination and I often get the opposite of writer's block - something I've coined Writer's crossroad xD. Basically, this means I get os many ideas, I have no idea which one to use and I can usually come up with up to even 7 possible scenarios to use and I can never decide which one is best ;. But if wirter's block is what you've got, then hey! We're compatible! :D

3) Commenting on the flow of your story: If you're worried about the way your story is going (E.g. you don't know if it's boring or not), I can offer an opinion as a writer; two pairs of eyes is better than one right? :D Also; on top of that, if you're not satisfied with my review, I can offer advice about how to improve as well ~

4) Ideas: Even if you just have an idea that you haven't actually turned into a story yet, I can help you develop it and write it into one :D

1) While I might be good at picking up subtle mistakes, I'm terrible at some of the subtler mistakes like "their/they're" (I know the difference, but it gets past me a lot - However, this usually only happens in my own work; I'd never let something like that go if it was someone I was beta-reading for so rest reassured! This is more of a me thing :D)

2) I tend to talk a lot so please don't mind me; it's common for you to send me a document only to receive a page (quite possibly 2) of reviews in return xD

3) I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but to what degree, I'm not sure; although I fear I may be what you call a grammar nazi ; I do try to go about it the nicest way possible though - it's just that I'll try not to let any mistakes get past me and well... like I said before, I bolden the changes so you can decide for yourself whether or not you'd like to keep the changes or not :D

I prefer beta reading for animes/manga/books I've actually read and I have a preference for OC stories, but I'll gladly beta-read for everyone regardless! :D WHile I'd like for the work I go over to have been looked over by the author for mistake before hand, I have nothing against fresh-off-the-press works either because that's part a beta-reader's job as well so I won't complain xD I have a huge weakness for Romance, adventure, humor and drama ~ Parodies too if they're hilarious! :D If well-written, I love crossovers as well! ~

While I say I have a preference for the aforementioned subjects, anything, (And I really mean ANYTHING) is fine! Poetry is fine (I know what I'm about to say - or type rather - sounds somewhat sad, but I read dictionaries in my spare time, so rhymes are a strength of mine xD) I don't usually do it, but I guess spiritual is fine too? I mean, I'm not that good at it, but if you're fine with me as a beta-reader, I'll do it! :D

Hmmm... I guess nothing really; I don't even mind beta-reading for Angst/horror/lemons etc. -In short, everything is my cup of tea! xD

Seriously, even if you bash a character I really really like, as long as you write it well enough, I'll forget about the fact that I love them for the day and just laugh and indulge in the feeling known as schadenfreude ;)
