I sometimes take a while to betaread. As one of those poor people that have to work for their munnies, and on top of it, study for those blasted monstrosities referred to as tests, I have very little time to read and write. However, the longest I'll ever take to betaread, usually, is a week, depending on the length of the piece. My expectations are really just simple: Please, for the love of everything that is sacred and awesome, have at least a basic understanding of grammar. Unless your first language is not English, in which case you are forgiven, and it gives me unmitigated joy to help you with your understanding of the English language. Oh, and anyone who sends me a piece of writing that is riddled with Japanese words such as Kawaii or Arigatou will immediately be turned down.

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a nerd. I'm one of those people that will lurk around the Wiki of whatever category I'm writing for and make sure that whatever I'm writing makes sense in the world it's set in. Because of this, I'm a walking encyclopedia of trivial things that will never matter IRL.

I've always, always, always, had issues with repeating things in my writing. Repetition is my weakness. As are action scenes. For some reason, I can never immerse myself in action scenes, and as such, they tend to be rather lame in... well, in my own opinion.

I like to read stories that don't focus entirely on romance, and have a plot. Stories with plots built around romance is fine, but I really enjoy reading something that has its own original plot within the category. And as such, I'm more likely to betaread something like that. Also, I'm a sucker for tragedies, just so you know.

I'm not that into stories with BDSM kinks, or stories with graphic violence.
