Hello! If you need a beta-reader to edit your spelling, grammar and punctuation, I'd be up for it. I can also discuss plot points with writers who want help with their plot. I actually really enjoy doing that - I'm a bit of a film geek, majoring in movie plot-lines and character development.

It usually takes me a day to return an edited chapter, but sometimes it will take me two days if there's something I'm having trouble editing.

I'm good at letting the writer be the writer - I'll show them exactly what I've changed, and I don't like to take liberties when I edit. If there's a paragraph (or even just an awkward sentence) that I think needs restructuring, I'll write detailed notes on what I think needs fixing, with some suggestions on how it can be fixed. This way I'm not imposing my own writing style on someone else's story, and the writer gets to tell their story the way they want it to be told.

I'm a creatively inclined person, and I like to be constantly working on something. This can become a problem though, because it's difficult for me to switch from one project to another before the first has been finished. For example, if I receive a new chapter from a writer for me to beta-read, but I'm already working on a drawing that has been giving me grief, I'll be reluctant to start editing the chapter, even though it should be my first priority. For this reason I'm not very consistent when it comes to returning an edited chapter to a writer: sometimes it will take a day, sometimes it will take a week.

No particular preferences! Although I'd prefer to edit fan fiction that's about books/movies/tv shows/etc. that I know well. This is just because I don't think I'd be very good editing a story set in a universe that I'm not familiar with. If you're unsure whether I'm familiar with the universe that your story is set in, you should contact me anyway, and I'll be able to tell you whether I am :)

The only thing I won't edit is graphic sexual content - as in, a full-on sex scene. I don't mind editing mild sexual content, though. If you're unsure about whether I'll edit something for you, you should contact me anyway. I'll skim the chapter/story and get back to you on whether I feel comfortable editing it :)
