If you choose me as your beta reader, I need you to let me know whether you'd like me to read for grammar or content--I'm good with both, and will happily do both, but not at the same time. An indication of how willing you are to make changes and how ruthless I should be will also be appreciated. By default, I'm fairly ruthless.

I write a good line of dialogue, and I can help you do the same. Any character, in any situation. Most of my own writing is humor, and I'll be happy to lend my knack for it to your purpose, whether that's a subtle comedy of manners or an over-the-top farce. I'm good with sex-type things that feel *real*, complete with the occasional stupid remark, false start, or fart. I can make sex funny. I can make death, despair, betrayal, boredom, robots, and boxes funny. Try me. If you happen to have the rare piece that's meant to be both funny AND sexy, I am the beta for you.

I also take 'evil' characters pretty seriously, and don't shrink from heinous acts and real bastardy. I can help you tune that torture scene or monologue to the perfect pitch of nastiness, without letting your bad guy become a cardboard cutout.

I have difficulty sustaining interest for very long pieces. It's not a reflection on your work; it's just that I tend to prefer reading and writing shorter pieces. Somewhere in the area of twenty pages total is about my maximum.

Feel free to exploit my skills for polishing your cracky pairings, your porn, and your wacky shenanigans. If your wacky shenanigans are of the sugar-fuelled sort, however, please ask for a different beta.

I prefer to work with stories between canon characters. If you have OCs in minor roles, that's fine.
