You'll find me eager to encourage AU and OC writers, as I have found from my own fan-writing experience that such stories require a fantastic amount of imagination and perseverence. I'm not fussy about shipping, but there are some that I prefer not to read, only because they do not seem right to me. That said, if it is well written and makes sense within the setting of your story, I will not object to it.

I respect the fact that not everyone on this site is a professional author, and because of this, I tend to refrain from outright negative feedback, prefering instead to provide constructive criticism, and offer tips to help budding authors improve on their own.

As far as betareading is concerned, I can spot most spelling and general grammar errors quite easily. If flow or 'noise' is an issue, I will work with you to rectify it. I will praise you for parts that are written particularly well, whilst offering suggestions on any areas that need improvement.

Sometimes I may take a while to get back to you about a particular chapter, and this could be for any number of reasons, as I can be quite busy at certain times of the year. Rest assured though, if you have sent me anything to beta, I will find the time to do so and try to give you feedback within a timely fashion. If there is going to be a significant delay, I will let you know.

Basically, any book- or movie-related category that I am at least passably familiar with. If I do not think my knowledge of a particular category is sufficient for me to beta your work to a high standard, I will let you know immediately, so that you can find someone better.

I'm not a big fan of slash. If you want to ask me what I think of a slash-related idea, I will provide you with fair and honest feedback, but please do not ask me to beta any slash-related stories.
