Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Nae: Well, my name is Nae!! Or Larry, the other one, blah blah....I could go on....anyway! I dont know what else to say I guess..heh heh...If you have any questions feel free to mail me!!Caity: I am Caity!! I have been told, once or twice, that I look like a famous celebrity...Yes I am just that good looking, I enjoy sunsets and long walks on the beach. I'm a Leo and prefer my guy to have- Nae: This isn't a crappy dating show!! This is our segment to prove to our beloved fans that we are awesome, and you ruin it.....How could you?!? *sniff*... Caity: Eheh oopsies? No need to be dramatic... Anyway in all seriousness, I tend to suck at grammar...and that's why you'll get two Beta's for the price of one!! I really wouldn't trust Caity when it comes to beta-ring (is that right? lol) though, I had to spell check all this....But I kick arse at grammar and spelling, plus I tell things like it is! My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Nae: I'm very picky =) I will also read a variety of stories, although I would prefer it if they are well written and I'm needed merely to point out spelling/grammar mistakes, I cant stand stories that I will have to almost completely rewrite so they make sense!! And then you get those stories where - Caity: Aaaaand, I completely agree with Nae, re-constructing one or two sentences is fine by me but re-writing nearly an entire story? Nuh uh! Also, because I tend to say the words in my head as I read them, I can tell when a sentence doesn't sound right! That's gotta count for something...right? My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Nae: Well, since I am only 15, I'm not perfect and I do have school, plots to plan, assassinations to carry out, polony to eat and, I even brought myself a life off of Ebay, so I may not be able to beta read as soon as you want. =) Also, I tend to be very lazy, forgetful and can lose interest pretty quickly if your story doesn't interest me personally ^^Caity: My spelling and grammar are good but they're not excellent so if I miss something it's all Nae's fault!! Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Nae: Umm, I guess they have to be interesting, nothing that drones on and on and on and on an-Caity: Well I don't mind stories that drone on and on, as long as the author gets to the point eventually. Naruto fanfics are preferable...but I will also beta Bleach, Shugo Chara, Full Metal Alchemist, Black Cat, Fruit Basket, Tokyo Mew Mew and the odd Pokemon fic here and there...but keep in mind the last time I seriously watched pokemon was back when I was a wee lassie....ah good times, good times.. Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Nae: Well, I am very mature for my ageCaity: Pfft... Nae: *Glares* Aaaand well I'll read pretty much anything as long as it doesn't get too graphic when it comes to the gross parts, ewies!! See, matureness!!! Caity: *Rolls eyes* I don't mind mature content but I won't be 15 until August so nothing to graphic! I also refuse to read Yuri, Incest and relationships about people with like a 13 year age gap..like those KakashixSakura fics they give me the chills...I will read some Yaoi though, but nothing too graphic and only in teensy tiny doses...that kind of thing just ain't my style so I won't be much help there ;P |
