Hi, my name is Kazegami-inkpot. I haven't been a beta-reader for too long but I think my skills are well enough for the job. My style includes the normal, picking up simple mistakes like grammer and spelling and just trying to, overall, help out the writer whenever they may need help. I don't have too many expectations other than be kind to me and know that I'll do the same. I simply expect a certain amount of politeness and a general ear in what I have to say. That's all.

I think I am good at seeing spelling mistakes and words that were missed completely. I'm pretty good at grammer and do alright with past, present and future tense. I think I'm also capable in catching where a part of the story may seem a little rushed. However, if the whole story is quick paced than I don't see that as a problem. I can see things that contradict to what may have been said earlier in a story too. I'm also pretty good at spacing out dialogue.

I tend to be weaker when it comes down to the plot of a story. I say this because when I read a story I often can't tell when something relates to something else or not. Usually, if it has a nice flow, I dont catch whether something a character said is important or not. Does that make sense? I'm not very good at seeing if dialogue is pushing the story further or just making the plot linger where it is. I'll just keep reading and reading until the story finally moves, haha.

I really like (in order) romance, friendship, action, adventure, angst, and hurt/comfort stories. I absolutely love stories that involve relationships between characters and lots of thought and inner battles. I like to read stories that involve love, longing and a passion for something. I like lots of dialogue and lots of questions too. On a more constructive level, I like good detail and setting so that I'm not squinting my eyes trying to picture a place, hehe. I like conflict between characters points of view, but I also like being able to see friendship between characters without the writer having to point it out bluntly.

Hmm....I'll admit I don't exactly like horror stories, or too much tragedy with no uplifting point. I don't particularily like horror because it's really just too much of one thing. Watching it is different than reading it, way different. It usually doesn't scare me, it's just something that I'll read and be done with. Now, I'll read lemons, I'm a mature girl, but I will not read smut. Dont ask me to read a story with a lemon in the first chapter, second, or probably even third. I need a good plot and emotions to build up to such a thing. I also dont really like girl/girl parings either...boy/boy is fine though. Oddly enough.
