I am a pedant. I am not a cheerleader. I am starting off with the assumption that you understand that your work can be improved and that you want to improve it. As such, I will do my best to find areas that could use improvement.

-I will point out spelling, grammar and structural issues with no regard for your feelings.

-I know the characters in the fandoms I have listed in this profile. If your characters don't conform to them in both word and deed, I will point it out with no regard for your feelings.

-I will iterate this: "I am not a cheerleader." If you are looking for someone to tell you how wonderful your fluff piece is and gush about how awesome you are for capturing exactly how Bella felt when Edward sparkled, you're in the wrong place.

I rely heavily on Microsoft Word for most of my own spelling. I don't have a lot of time.

I generally prefer to work on short pieces. This is because I have a fairly full life and it is quite demanding. (a teenager, a pre-teen, a mortgage, a full-time job, Housework, Bills, Car maintenance, gardening, writing and whatever happens to be shiny this month.) If, however, you're working on an epic piece and you'd like me to look it over, I might be persuaded... providing you understand that: 1) it'll take a while. 2) the critique will not be "in-depth" and 3) if you don't have me hooked in the first few pages, I'll probably bow out at that point.

I'm open to beta read good pieces in fandoms not listed in my profile. I can still spot plot holes and help with general editing but I may not be familiar enough with the canon characters to provide comment on how well they are portrayed.
