My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm good at catching typos and grammar/spelling mistakes (I get pathetically excited when I find one in a published book... it's sad...). I've also done some translating from Portuguese to English. My mom is a writer and an editor, so I've grown up with her looking over my shoulder and teaching me the ropes and I think I've gotten rather good over time. I try to beta something as soon as I get it. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I've sadly lost a great deal of my knowledge of the proper structure for writing a story in Portuguese, but I'm still fluent in the language itself. Which means my grammar and possibly some of my spelling is not as up to par as my English. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Stories where I'm a shipper of the pairings myself. I'm fine with betaing a ship I may not be particularly into or fond of. I enjoy doing ships I'm into due to the fanfic addict in me, but I also enjoy the challenge of something that may not necessarily be my usual cup of tea. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I've yet to find a genre/style I haven't liked. Fluff, angst, slash, het, serious, parody... I love 'em all. ^^ |
