Hello all, I am Jules (playfully called Julie by my closest friends, although I tend to hate that name). I live in a cold, dreary, shitty loft in New York City with my best friend Trevor and his on-and-off (usually off) girlfriend wondering why the hell we didn't go into a sensible profession like accounting or marketing rather than musical theatre. I am a Bohemian, a student, a Renthead, an actor, a dancer, a singer, and a writer... who usually bartends to pick up student loans, the rent, and grocery money. Ah yes, this is the life. Obviously, based off my situation, Rent is my favorite musical, as well as what I tend to write for. Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal are my heroes, and if you take away the blond hair and the HIV, I pretty much am Roger, so you'll be seeing a lot of him in my work, and Mark, because I find them easiest to relate to. I'm currently in the process of getting my degree in Composition of Musical Theatre, so a lot of my influences come from classic literature or songs. I think the most important thing to learn from Rent is to live for today, a theme that will show up quite a bit in my work. Also just to love, because it's really the most important thing in life.
